2026.01.12 Whit Whitman Wants You to Pay to Work for Him (Again)

2026.01.12 Whit Whitman Wants You to Pay to Work for Him (Again)

Yet again, our main man is offering suckers aspiring voice actors the unique opportunity to pay him for the privilege of working for him!

For the low, low price of $250 or $500 you to can perform film work that is normally a paying gig. Why make money when you can spend money?

"If you are interested in helping me produce the "Sherlock Bones" animated feature and being one of the voices of our amazing characters, I do have a few roles left. Costs are $250 & $500 depending on the size of the role. **NOW IN PRODUCTION**"

Whit Whitman new movie "opportunity"

Here's the thing:

1) The "production company" Little Monsters Entertainment LLC, isn't an active company, having been administratively dissolved in October of 2019!
Little Monsters Entertainment LLC Doesn't Exist
2) Ken Whitman...Whit Whitman, whatever, has done this before (trying to have people pay to work on a film)

3) Kenny has, in the past, sold promises at multiple price points and the higher price point didn't exist. There were allegedly available in limited quantities, but Ken just did POD ones and two as he saw fit. Quality was poor to boot.

2024.07.02 We Suspect That the Only Think Ken "Whit" Whitman Can Do Right is Take Your Money...and We're Not Even Sure of That!

We Suspect That the Only Think Ken "Whit" Whitman Can Do Right is Take Your Money...and We're Not Even Sure of That!
Tenkar's Tavern posted a YouTube clip about Little Monsters Entertainment holding an acting retreat, so we looked at the website and wow.....just wow.

So it looks like 'Ol Kenny is doubling-down on trying to make people pay to be employed on his "real movie set". This whole thing makes us shake our heads here at NAD and after a while it's just easier to make a quick list:

  • The Little Monsters Entertainment website shows as a Wordpress site, but for some reason the icon being used is from Square payment processing, so we're guessing it's all built around taking your credit card payments.
  • There is more than one "Actors Retreat", basically there is one for each movie currently "in production"
  • If you select "Learn More" on the next "Musical Actors Retreat" which is in September for the movie The Wrestling Movie, you be taken to the page for Home-Less for the Holidays.
    • If you then click on "Actors Retreat" for that movie....you go nowhere.
  • If instead you select "Enroll Now" on that "Musical Actors Retreat" you'll go to an enrollment page for the "CHRISTMAS ACTORS RETREAT". We're not yelling.....it's how the page is setup and contrary to how every other page it titled!
Marketing?
This is it, there isn't more...

As an aside.....having a consistently functioning website is a lot easier to pull off than producing a movie.....stick to screwing up Facebook posts,,,
  • The page for the upcoming film "Eating Each Other" is titled girldowntown. Girldowntown.....girldowntown.....that feels familiar...holy crap, that was the pet project back in 2016 for Kenny's daughter. That fundrasing production predated Little Monsters Entertainment by a lot....
Holy shit, it looks like our main-man Ken (or Whit) Whitman is recycling?! That movie should have shipped January 2017! Oh, and according to IMDB it's being produced by The School of Cinematic Arts. Again, this movie predates the producer by about eight years! Oh and holy hell does the "Girldowntown" Facebook page provide for a wierd-ass rabbit hole. A bunch of odd clickbait attempts to get you to look at some "zombie fact" that doesn't exist....

  • The "Horror Comedy Retreat" has different women on the poster and one on the Actors Retreat page looks like a bad  photoshop job and was pulled from a different movie, hell a different genre of movie!
It really feels like Kenny is doing all the online marketing for his scams on the cheap and by himself, but that's just our speculation. Not sure how long he can keep this cycle up....

2023.06.12 Looks like Ken "Whit" Whitman has figured out his new Financial Scheme(s)

2023.06.12 Looks like Ken "Whit" Whitman has figured out his new Financial Scheme(s)
Now as much as we feel that our resident hero is a scam-artist that pretty much exists to rake in all the cash from anyone dumb enough to cross his path, the "scheme" in the title of this post was originally intended in the British sense......

...anyway our main man has clearly figured out his newest money making venture, which seems to be pitching "Actor Retreats" on his Little Monsters Entertainment website. As of today there are FOUR "Actor Retreats" advertised on the website with a price tag of anywhere between $650 and $3500!

The funny thing is these "opportunities" are for five upcoming films: 12 Till DawnP&P: The Unmortal Saga, Pest Control Z, Home-less for the Holidays, and Smokee. Want to know how many of these films are otherwise listed on the website (under "Our Movies")?

NONE

Really? At this point it might be logical to assume these films literally only exist to sell Actor Retreats to. There are some IMDB listings under Kenny's name (as Director). There are several additional films listed on IMDB, but 1st time hearing about them as well.

On a side note....while today is the 12th of June, if you hop over to the Little Monsters Entertainment Merchandise page you can not only buy the "Limited to 50" posters well after the "offer expires on June 1, 2023!" date, you can buy 49!

So if you have $1960 lying around, Kenny will gladly relieve you of such a burden!

Do you have a spare $1960 for Ken "Whit" Whitman?

It is Unnateral to Work for Negative Cash Flow

It is Unnateral to Work for Negative Cash Flow
No, that isn't a typo in the title......it's Ken-Speak!

Over at the Little Monster Entertainment page you can pay to be in the upcoming film "Unnateral". That spelling is all over the main page and even in the page tab! Now over on the .....and this is professionalism at its finest.....Murder by Association page (literally https://www.littlemonsterentertainment.com/murder-by-association) is the listing for "Unnatural", which also matches the IMDB listing.

This time Kenny is hawking 3-10 day "actor retreats" where you can pay $675-$1,499 to get a speaking role and credit (enough to officially get an IMDB actor credit!). Wow....just wow. Last we checked being an actor is something you get paid for, not something you pay to do. For the low, low price of $675 and three days of your time you will qualify to get an entry in a database people use to look up movie info!

Sounds like a steal! Just hope Kenny "Whit" Whitman manages to spell your name right in the credits or you lose out on the IMDB listing. If he can't manage to spell his one-word film's name correctly........

This Doesn't Pass The Sniff Test (Again)

This Doesn't Pass The Sniff Test (Again)
Special Note: This is a post from our main Editor and not a group project.....hence a lot of 1st person verbage.

So we've already reported on Ken "Whit" Whitman's three new ventures, really with a focus on Little Monster Entertainment LLC and Community Film Collaborative Inc. If you go to the latter, the big headline on the landing page (just above a donation link!) is:

Teaching Underprivileged Young Adults the Art of Filmmaking & Storytelling.

Now Kenny has already proven bad with film money (not an opinion, he literally posted this sentiment on Kickstarter) and it's obvious the line between the non/for profit enterprises is, at a minimum, muddled. There was this big time nagging at the back of this editors mind and when I saw Kenny's comment on an episode of Talking Crit LIVE!, I had a light-bulb moment. Here are a few of his comments, but it's the last one that just hit me.

Ken "Whit" Whitman TavernChat Comments

So Kenny is doing low-budget films, presumably using high-end equipment he bought using money pilfered from the Knights of the Dinner Table Community, where he is paid by wannabe actors/film workers to "learn how to act and work on set". Ok first off, those are actually jobs that produce positive cash flow for performing, not negative cash flow. I cannot imagine showing up to a potential new career and being asked to pay for the privilege of working.

Now I've heard of that happening, and every time it was an actual scam.

But don't worry, if you're young enough you can work on the non-profit side of things and get paid $4,800 to $7,200 for six months of half-time work. Oh, and if you stick it through we'll give you another $134K (and change). That makes the hourly rate just under $300/hr.

Where do I sign up?!!!!!

I know I'm losing somebody here, but if you re-read Kenny's last comment he says participants in his program get $10-$15 an hour for 480 hours and then get free college. I just used the numbers for tuition and admin fees, but still......

Asbury University Tuition

That's a pretty sweet deal.....actually sounds waaaaaay too sweet. You know what usually sounds like too good of a deal? Yep, a scam.

You know what else is indicative of a scam? Mismatched information. Kenny claims it's a 480 internship and you get this free scholarship, but on Little Monsters the internship is  "12 weeks full time, 24 weeks part time." 'Ol Whit is also saying he'll provide you that sweet, sweet four year ride, but again, what is being offered is if you "don't get hired after the Internship ends?" is "We will try to place you at another company that is better suited for your skill set. (or) We will work with you to apply for college, either at the Asbury University (who focus on filmmaking) located Nicholasville, Ky, OR into Center College if Filmmaking is not your thing. (or) We will help you find a job locally with you new skill set.

Did I mention this info is NOT on the non-profit site? So the program is being touted as a non-profit "thing", but really almost all of the information is on the for-profit company's website.

That doesn't look fishy at all.....

You know what else doesn't look fishy at all? That Ken "Whit" Whitman, according to his own "press release" is looking for "fifty plus young adults by the end of 2023" Now technically this is just about getting youth involved and the internship is not specifically mentioned, but it's another bit of confusing mismatch of data.

Opinion: This just doesn't add up and the simplest explanation is that Kenny is using a non-profit as a cover for skimming money from people through his for-profit company. He is dangling the idea of internships, extremally lucrative ones, at that, through the non-profit. This gets him donations from the community (his favorite scam technique demonstrated by his Kickstarters) AND workforce volunteers from a more naïve population ("young adults struggling to find their path in life") . He clearly is promoting that his program is going to provide college, but the documentation is more, "we'll help you apply for college", at best. Meanwhile this workforce, which will make him look good, can help bring in suckers actors willing to pay to be in short films that he is writing/directing/producing, most of which (so far) have not seen the light of day. So he gets cheap, possibly free labor by dangling a carrot and others to pay him for work that he should be paying for normally.

This is our opinion/prediction and we're sticking to it.

If it Walks Like a Duck and Quacks Like a Duck....HIGHLY Potential Ken "Whit" Whitman Fuckery

If it Walks Like a Duck and Quacks Like a Duck....HIGHLY Potential Ken "Whit" Whitman Fuckery
You've probably heard the saying, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it just may be a duck." Has a few reputed sources and several variations, but when it comes to Ken "Whit" Whitman we're going to offer our own: If it looks like fuckery and feels like fuckery, it's safe to assume there's fuckery going on.

Now the smart question would be, "What is this potential fuckery you speak of?" To answer this question I would highly suggest you start at the beginning of this documentation blog, back when we were jaded and relatively unbiased, and start going through the posts. By the times you circle back around to today's post I would ask you to answer this simple yes or no question:

"Would you feel comfortable allowing Kenneth Whitman, AKA Ken Whitman, AKA Whit Whitman, to operate a non-profit organization working with "young adults" and soliciting donations?

Now while this is phrased as a simple yes/no question, the expected response is probably more along the lines, of "What now?

So we recently reported about Ken "Whit" Whitman's new company "Little Monster Entertainment, LLC". So this is probably on us, but we didn't actually check on Kenny's name with the Kentucky Secretary of State. If we had we would have found "Community Film Collaborative, Inc"....and that company is a non-profit. For the record he also has a new Dumpster Rental company....but that probably isn't relevant unless he rents the non-profit for expensive dumpster rentals....

Kenny's "Non-Profit" Company

So, according to the Community Film Collaborative, Inc website....which is really just a Square (sales collection) website. They do have a Facebook page though. On the site they list three "short films" that this non-profit "partnered" with Little Monster Entertainment. This three are listed as "The Proposal", "Meet the Girlfriend", and "Lucrative Relationship".

So, on the surface...seems kind of legit. Ol Kenny is helping "young adults" make some short clips, in this case about 6 minutes total. Nice, right?

Now if you look at the actual YouTube pages for those clips, you might notice that they are allegedly clips from three larger "in progress" short films: "Strange Places", "Gamerz Inn", and "Places & Power", respectively. Thing is that these films aren't listed on IMDB, on the Little Monster website, or so far anywhere else. Now remember Ken "Whit" Whitman has literally raised money for non-existent (well, at least non-published) films before. His current for-profit LLC's website is taking money from wannabe actors and he has a side business that's a non-profit helping create wannabe actors?

Oh yeah....the "non-profit" website only exists on a ecommerce site?! Nothing fishy there!

If you look at the Little Monster website, specifically the page promoting their "short films that help actors secure managers, agents and higher paying acting jobs across the world." .....you know, services they make money off of.....you'll find this picture from an alleged non-profit shoot.

Some of Little Monster's Services

Clearly this is from "The Proposal"....or was it "Strange Places"....

This whole thing doesn't feel right, pretty much on the surface, but when you factor in Kenny's past.....sounds like spin and, at best, an attempt to look legit. Better than fair chance this is an attempt to grow future customers or bury costs from one company in another.....that's our guess/opinion and we're stating that now.

Do you remember our post from July? We're thinking his work then was in anticipation to this current set of companies....

We Found Out What Ken "Whit" Whitman is up to...a "new" Company

We Found Out What Ken "Whit" Whitman is up to...a "new" Company
Today we figured we'd take a quick look to see where Ken "Whit" Whitman was with the Unmortal film project....you know, the 10' "TV Short Film" that filmed over a year ago that hasn't had an update (on Kickstarter) in 14 months.....

...IMDB is silent on the film as well....hmm....I wonder where we could find some information on the film?

Oh, yeah! What about the Little Monsters Entertainment website! Hmmmmm....that film is NOT listed on the website and if you do a search for "unmortal".....

Surprise! Kenny's Last Film is a no-show

So the producer doesn't bother even listing the film allegedly still in "pre-production"? That's not fishy....

.....wait a second, why is there a bunch of prices on this search page?

Oh, Kenny is selling roles in a film......color us not surprised:

Description

You can pay to be in a Ken Whitman Film?

Day-Player Character

Workshop: 1 day
Character age: 18+ Filming
Dates: Oct 16-23, 2022 (1 day total during these dates)
Package Cost: $299.00 US (non-refundable deposit of $299.00)

Includes:
• A Speaking Role role in a feature film.
• Additional guest can be brought for an additional $99.00 US.

• Acting classes and coaching during your time on set.
• A Demo Reel from the movie.
• IMDB Actors.
• A contract will be provided to participate in the ProAm Workshop. Sent after the purchase of the $299.00 non-refundable deposit.

Now these roles are not available as the date has already passed, which hasn't stopped Kenny in the past, so at least this is a bit of an improvement.

What we find the most disturbing is the fact that at the bottom of every page of the Little Monsters Entertainment website is this listing of all the ways they are more than happy to take your money. Maybe this is just us, but you don't find this on the likes of Paramount, Warner Brothers, MGM.....

.....hmmmmmm we just checked, not even Amazon lists their payment methods on the home page, much less every page.

Look at all the ways Kenny will take your money!

We wondered a couple posts back what ol' Kenny was up to, looks like using film to fleece people is definitely it, at least based on his success rate of his film projects coming to fruition....and that you can pay for him to fleece you!*

Hey, at least THIS TIME, Ken "Whit" Whitman actually filed for a KY Business license! Oh, an by the way...we see what you did there Kenny. Little Monsters Entertainment was defunct, but simply dropping the "s" so you can kind of keep the same company, kind of.....

Ken "Whit" Whitman Actually Filed an Annual Report

*Technically this is an opinion, but we think it's an informed opinion with, what...maybe a 20% completion rate (we're going off of Kickstarter funding)?

2022.06.07 Ken "Whit" Whitman is Going International....but Look Who He's With!

Ken "Whit" Whitman is Going International....but Look Who He's With!
So today we thought we'd check in on Ken "Whit" Whitman's many Kickstarters and, as expected, still nothing on EVERY front. Still nothing on Pencil Dice (remember that allegedly he's been slowly filling orders, but not a single report of pencils being received since those two guys back in September of last year (2021). Well, let's see if there is any news on the Unmortal front.....nope, nothing there.

Well, almost nothing. Looking at the IMDB pages for those three products we see that Ken "Whit" Whitman is not getting top billing on those two projects. Yeah, we are assuming that Ol Kenny changed that himself after we noted it back in April. That assumption is because "Little Monsters Entertainment" is listed as the Production Company.

Hmm......we should take another quick look at this, we still assume fictional, company. There is a listing at Cinando.com. Wait...never heard of Cinando..neither have we:

"Cinando was launched by the Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes in 2003 as the complete database of the attendees at Cannes. Since then, it has become the premier network offering film professionals the best tools to navigate the film industry: contacts, films, projects in development, market screening schedules, market attendees, screeners... it's all here !"

Great...Kenny's taking things international!

Little Monsters Entertainment Cinando Listing
Click to embiggen (or just use the link)

Not a lot to really see without an account.....BUT!!!....who is that down at the bottom, next to our main man? Here's a better pic of the duo:

Little Monsters Entertainment Staff

Robert Costner.......Robert Costner......why is that name familiar?

Holy effing crap! ROBERT COSTNER! He's the guy behind the Unmortal Kickstarter! The guy who (clearly) flat-out lied saying that "Whitman is not involved with our company's business practices and is merely part of the creative team along with several dozen other talented contractors."

"Merely part of the creative team"? "Not involved with our company's business practices..."? He's listed here literally as "management".*

*Yes, technically the Kickstarter project is listed as produced by "Post Hoc Productions", but every subsequent Unmortal project has Little Monsters Entertainment listed....and they are both listed on several film projects, enough that they seem somewhat interchangeable.

I Know We've Already Called Bullshit, But Can We Do So Again?!

I Know We've Already Called Bullshit, But Can We Do So Again?!
So we still haven't heard much of anything with regards to the Unmortal: Out of Time Kickstarter. Still not a single back message since August of 2021.....when the film was allegedly in post-production. We don't know anything about film production, but we do know enough about Kickstarter to know that 9 months without a peep on Kickstarter updates or even responses on the comments page....well, it is a long time.

This really isn't newsworthy in itself and we were just going to tack on a quick edit to the previous post about the subject, but then we got to taking a peek at IMDB....

....and we're a little shocked.

If you remember back last June we had someone reach out to the Unmortal: Out of Time Kickstarter and ask about Ken "Whit" Whitman's involvement, just to be told  (I) "assure you that Mr. Whitman is not involved with our company's business practices and is merely part of the creative team along with several dozen other talented contractors."

So Kenny's not that involved in this project then.....oh, ok. Does somebody want to tell IMDB?

Ken Whit Whitman is "only" the director

Last I checked, being a film's director (or one of) is a bit more than a bit part......

Well at least that's all he's involved in.....

Another Unmortal Project with Ken Whit Whitman

OFFS, there's a second project and Ken "Whit" Whitman is getting to act in it?

Ken Whit Whitman as Lord Dumonu

Great. Ken "Whit" Whitman has a main role (?...well he did get the #2 billing....) as "Lord Dumonu"? Really?

Seriously guys, we cannot make this shit up if we tried. Ken "Whit" Whitman is being billed as Lord Dumb-on-you in this project. This NAD editor doesn't know if that's a joke or some snipe at Kenny's retractors or what.

Lord Dumb-on-you....either way, it is fricken hilarious. Even if it's just a one-off....

Lord Dumb-On-You has top billing?!

Wait, so the side project has a side project and Ken "Whit" Whitman has the top billing as Lord Dumb-on-you?!

This is clearly not a minor part of this overall Unmortal "thing" and it's all a bit much, but there it is. We again call bullshit that Kenny isn't all up in this project like we originally projected. At least it looks like he's not scamming the RPG industry this time. If only these actor/producer types would spend more time on looking up who they want to get in bed with (project-wise).......

2021.06.16 Our Mental Math Just Does NOT Add Up!

2021.06.16 Our Mental Math Just Does NOT Add Up!
OK, so let's have a brief review of the latest Ken "Whit" Whitman news:

  • There's currently a Kickstarter for a film project that is hoping to lead to a comic book, a TV series, and even a role-playing game that technically doesn't have Ken Whitman's name on it anywhere, despite the fact that Whit Whitman has a history with not only RPGs, but running Kickstarters for short film projects that are intended to turn into a TV series, and his first such Kickstarter originated from a comic book.
  • Ken "Whit" Whitman is NOT listed on the film project's IMDB page at all, BUT his fictitious company has second billing in the project's "teaser trailer".
  • The point man for this Kickstarter and film project, one Robert Costner, was asked about Ken Whitman's involvement and the response can be summed up/paraphrased as, "I'm aware of Ken Whitman's past, but he hasn't been charged with a crime and he's just one of a dozen creators in the background." Of course you can dispute the summation, but read the response for yourself.

1 of 3 Call Board Casting Calls (the nicest one)
Now this writer cannot help but to notice that the mental math simply does not add up. If Ken "Whit" Whitman was just some minor player then why does his fake company get 2nd billing? Why is he putting out the Casting Call to find actors? Now I do not know squat about filming, but I highly suspect that finding the right actors for a film project is not a minor role in the process (pun intended). NAD already referenced Kenny's Casting Call on Facebook, but one of our readers pointed us out to the same call on Call Board:

Oh yeah, we forgot to mention that Kenny tried to "double-dip" and made a second Casting Call for the same project.....

We're sorry.....triple-dipped.

Coincidence that Kenny Logged into Kickstarter? We think not.
On a side note, since there was the Kickstarter that Ken "Whit" Whitman is allegedly NOT involved in, kind of surprising that for a guy known to take months, if not years off of the platform....that he chooses that Kickstarter's Kick-Off Day to finally log back in....

...that isn't suspicious at all!

Evidently our main man is shooting another movie and he wants people to help "subsidize" his project. This time around though instead of just giving him your money he wants you to give him your time!

Now we know how much Kenny likes to mess around and delete/hide/edit his Facebook posts, so we're posting screenshots and the body of the text as well. Of course we're certain that Ken "Whit" Whitman would approve since he thinks any publicity is good publicity and we're "helping" in getting this notice "out there".

PLEASE IF THIS IS YOUR 1ST TIME ON THIS BLOG, READ SOME OTHER POSTS BEFORE EVEN THINKING ABOUT WORKING WITH/FOR KEN or WHIT WHITMAN!!!

Seriously....anything to do with his previous film projects, most notably his last "pilot"!

He's put together a film for her once already, and had others help pay for his "gift. Maybe this time around is more a college graduation gift instead of a high school graduation gift?

He is listed as the writer for another one of his daughter's flicks: Resident Bodies.

2020.09.21 Ken "Whit" Whitman's The Whittler is Unavailable, not even the Preview

We're not the only folks that look into Kenny's....er Ken "Whit" Whitman's online dealings. We actually got the head's-up from Erik Tenkar before he posted, but our main editor wasn't in a position to authorize a post until later...

The Whittler isn't exactly old news, but word that the preview video was copyright claimed by Ed Kramer.....big news indeed. Makes us wonder why Mr. Kramer has any say on the matter....

Anyway, here's a screenshot of the Yahoo! News post about the Amazon release:

The Whittler preview is copywrite claimed by Ed Kramer

The funny point is that after looking into the IMDB posting for The Whittler, we noticed that Ken (as Whit Whitman) is listed as the writer and director. Not really news-worthy there, BUT "Little Monsters Entertainment" is listed as one of the production companies. Remember them? That's the company that Ken "Whit" Whitman doesn't own........sure.

We'll have to see what comes out of this, but for now......well, you can't watch the movie

2020.02.26 Ken "Whit" Whitman Making an Amazon Prime Film?

2020.02.26 Ken "Whit" Whitman Making an Amazon Prime Film?

Folks might be wondering what our main man has been up to these days and it's clear that he'd be trying to stay out of the spotlight some. How much might be up to interpretation....

There is this article from the Kinsport Times Tennessee that clearly shows Ken "Whit" Whitman directing a film called "The Whittler"......seriously we cannot make this stuff up. Allegedly it is set for Amazon Prime in July.....

The article clearly establishes that "Whit Whitman" is the director and the thing that bothers us here at NAD is this quote from Producer Jodi Springs, "I found Whit on an actors’ website, contacted him and got a call a few days later asking if we could meet him in Winchester." Evidently Jodi's daughter Mahalah "showed some interest in performing", so Jodi sought out Ken "Whit" Whitman and put down some money to make her daughter's dreams come true.

Knowing our hero's history this whole thing has nightmare written all over it. Nightmares are technically dreams though, right? It's hard to believe that this is going to end well......

Part of the reason, aside from all of the other posts here, we're apprehensive is because of The Whittler's....and Whit Whitman's IMDB pages. Ken "Whit" Whitman is NOT listed as the director of the film on it's page, and he hasn't listed the film on his page either. For someone well documented as being a HUGE self-promoter.......this doesn't seem right. The Assistant Director is listed, but not the Director? Something stinks here.

We're guessing that Jodi didn't Google Ken or Whit Whitman. If she had....she might have found out about NAD and saved herself some headache. Of course, maybe she did and was able to take some sort of precautions to protect herself.

I guess we'll see come June......

We did also notice that allegedly Ken "Whit" Whitman moved to High Point North Carolina last year, and LinkedIn has him listed as "Executive Vice President Of Operations at Brittano Group"

2017.04.22 Ken "Whit" Whitman Selling More Acting Advice and Brush With The Walking Dead Greatness

2017.04.22 Ken "Whit" Whitman Selling More Acting Advice and Brush With The Walking Dead Greatness
Contrary to what we assume is Ken "Whit' Whitman's belief, Not Another Dime (For Ken Whitman) isn't opposed to the man making a buck or two, assuming that money is made legitimately.

We think that continuing to glom on to a few seconds of background work in The Walking Dead, and using those brief moments as credentials to teach inspiring actors is definitely pushing the envelope.

Our speculation is that this training session is being used as a means to find new people to market potential video work (demo reels, "creating a slate", etc.) where Ken "Whit" Whitman can use the equipment that he purchased (instead of renting) using funds from the KoDT:LAS Kickstarter. Instead of working on the projects he's already made a pretty penny on, Ken "Whit" Whitman is soliciting more money from newer fandoms.

Those who can, do.....those who can't teach (our apologies to any bona fide teachers).

We've added a couple hyperlinks to the announcement so you can see for yourself.

But wait...there's more!

2017.04.25 Edit
There was a video we linked to, but the video was removed. We do have a copy, but we don't plan on posting it.

We have noticed that a few folks have suggested that MCTG browse this site or just Google Ken "Whit" Whitman. We have also been forwarded an email exchange regarding this workshop (edits are ours):

"Hello XXXXXXXX, I'm involved with the Menifee Community Theatre Group. First, thank you for your concerns that you've brought up about Mr. Whitman. We appreciate all feedback, especially when it is of this nature. The event, however, has already passed. We were not aware of any such controversy before we booked the event and will be vetting our speakers more carefully in the future. We are a young group, we only became a very small organized group in March and are still learning the ropes. Mr. Whitman conducted himself in a polite manner during his visit and taught for 6 hours. The people that attended found it informative and helpful. There was very low attendance at the event and all of them were part of the theatre group management. I would like to make it clear that Mr. Whitman is not a member of MCTG or affiliated with us in any way. On another note, our Facebook page is watched carefully, and as I'm sure you know, we have had several people comment in the last few days. While not all of the comments were considered aggressive, some members felt that they should all be removed to protect the group's standing with the public. This was the only reason for any hidden comments or posts. Again, thank you for the concerns and advice, we take all constructive criticisms seriously and are always looking to improve. Please reach out to us in a pm if you would like to further discuss this or other issues."

2017.03.28 Ken "Whit" Whitman Looking to Start up Another Geek/Nerd Video Project?!

2017.03.28 Ken "Whit" Whitman Tries to Recruit For a New "nerddom" Project
We found out about this late last night, but outside of some exclamations of "WTF", we had to sit on it until this evening. The whole idea behind Not Another Dime (for Ken Whitman) was initially just to document the man's many con jobs within the RPG Industry and RPG fan-base. Of course we share these people with other fandoms and with the larger "geek" community, so our mission is a bit broader than originally conceived.

Back when Ken "Whit" Whitman started his initial "churn & burn" scams, shell companies, whatever....realistically the internet wasn't much more than a string of local BBS's. It was a bit easier to take from one community and then move on to another. These days everybody has a supercomputer (compared to "back in the day") in their pocket and the World Wide Web lets you connect with more and more people.

We'd hope that some of the people that Ken "Whit" Whitman wants to connect with are at least Googling his name, but evidently some aren't because our main man is trying to interject himself back into the community once again.

Thanks for spelling out nerd/geek culture...
"Are you a nerd/Geek? Pokemon, MTG, Yugioh. Want to host a TV show about nerddom? Send me a PM and I maybe I will tell you how to apply for this full-time job.

Nerd stuff also includes: RPGs, computer games, Larping & Cosplay. Anime, Starwars, Walking dead, comics, Etc."

Now aside from our initial reaction, which was more like a spit-take, our back-and-forth started with "Another video project when he hasn't finished the last few ones?!" and ended with, "Thanks Kenny for filling us in on what is acceptable for nerds and/or geeks." Maybe it is just this writer, but if you have to spell our to someone what qualifies as "nerddom", they probably aren't going to be a good fit as a host, which is fine since you (Yes....you Ken "Whit' Whitman) haven't really shown to be a good fit as a producer, at least not on any of your Kickstarters.....

All we can do is hope that any nerd worth their fandom is smart enough to Google Ken "Whit" Whitman.....

2017.01.19 Ken "Whit" Whitman Still Sponging off of The Walking Dead

2017.01.19 Ken "Whit" Whitman Still Sponging off of The Walking Dead
You have to give Ken "Whit" Whitman a bit of credit for making a (really) short film trying to give himself another few minutes of The Walking Dead fame without actually referencing The Walking Dead directly.....at least in the film.

Of course, Ken being Ken, he cannot simply help himself when it comes to self-promotion and social media:
"My name is Whit Whitman, I have been on TWD a few times as the #PickAxeSavior. I created a a FAN FILM based on my character, well at least how I envision him. :-)  If you like it, leave a comment, and share my link.  XOXOXO, and remember... We are Negan!

Wow...just wow....that is a lot of hashtags.

The video is available for viewing on YouTube and Ken "Whit" Whitman has even created a channel for it. Seriously...a channel?

Pick Axe Survivor YouTube Channel

The acting is...interesting?

Now some folks might wonder what this has to do with Ken "Whit" Whitman scamming so many folks on Kickstarter. The thing is, if he is writing, directing, acting, and editing this short clip...presumably with equipment paid for by the Knights of the Dinner Table: Live Action Series Kickstarter........well, he isn't working on those other Kickstarter projects...the ones he took a LOT of cash for.

Now we liked the "This motion picture is protected under the laws of the united states and other countries. Unauthorized duplication, distribution or exhibition may result in civil liability and criminal prosecution."

We wonder how well these protections would last since Ken "Whit" Whitman is intentionally using a character that he doesn't own. Calling something a "Fan Film" pretty much proves that he is using someone else's intellectual property without permission. Going this additional step claiming copywrite.....well I smell a DMCA notice coming on....

Until then, enjoy!

2017.01.19 Ken "Whit" Whitman Tries his Hand With Another Actors Co-Op

2017.01.19 Ken "Whit" Whitman Tries his Hand With Another Actors Co-Op
Right off, we'd like to thank the multiple people who have sent in recent tips regarding Ken "Whit" Whitman's recent activities. We can't be everywhere on the interwebs so thanks for the help. Please keep using our contact widget to help us keep Ken "Whit" Whitman from scamming folks.

Sure, our intention was just to keep Ken "Whit" Whitman from scamming folks within the RPG community, but since he's taken his show on the road, the groups of people that need to know have increased.

Allegedly Ken "Whit" Whitman left Atlanta short-notice, leaving a few folks high and dry when he absconded with their money. We really don't have first-hand information on that, but common sense would dictate that the pool of "customers" in Atlanta would be much, much larger than the pool of "customers" in relatively rural Kentucky.

Either way, it looks like Ken "Whit" Whitman is trying to start up another Actor's Co-Op under his own banner. We haven't gotten reports of him trying to sell demo reels filmed on his KoDT:LAS purchased equipment, but that will probably occur all in due time.

2017.01.19 Kentucky Actors Co-Op
For someone who has tried to claim he doesn't have multiple Facebook accounts, which commentators on previous posts have already confirmed, it is telling that Ken Whitman's post has been liked by Whit Whitman.

Wow.....
