A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose

 Who is Ken Whitman?

Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character. (Editor's Note: After years of this documentation, we simply cannot be anything BUT "con" when it comes to Mr. Whitman)

Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.

Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.

Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.

Note to contributors: If you have some valid data to send, screenshots, links to other Ken Whitman stories, etc., please feel free to send a gmail to notanotherdimeblog. We'll look into it and post if appropriate.

2017.07.15 Some "#ConManKen Posts Over at Tenkar's Tavern

2017.07.15 Some "#ConManKen Posts Over at Tenkar's Tavern
This last week we've had some news that Ken "Whit" Whitman was working as a game store manager and that the owner of said game store is shuttering the business at the end of this month.

Since July 2017 is the last month before Ken "Whit" Whitman's latest promise of Kickstarter fulfillments, it's probably a double-edged sword for him.

There has been some speculation as to the reasons why this particular game store is closing, but at this time we'd rather not partake in speculation. Until there is more pertinent info, we'd rather just provide documentation in the form of a link to recent Tenkar's Tavern post: #ConManKen - Mad Ox Games & Comics is Closing Its Doors July 30th - Time for Another Gig for Ken

Nothing terribly exciting there, but if you look at a slightly older posts we get another fine example of Ken "Whit" Whitman's wonderful sense of writing style and maturity: #ConManKen - Complete With 2nd Grade Putdowns - The Return of Poo Poo Head

2017.02.05 Instead of Working on Kickstarter Projects Ken "Whit' Whitman Still Glomming Onto The Walking Dead

2017.02.05 Instead of Working on Kickstarter Projects Ken "Whit' Whitman Still Glomming Onto The Walking Dead
Today is the 3 year "Anniversary" of the funding of Ken "Whit" Whitman's Kickstarter project Knights of the Dinner Table: Live action Series (Kodt:LAS). It has been 5 months since we've had an update and this project is roughly 18 months late.

Instead of working on KoDT:LAS we know Ken "Whit" Whitman has been trying to capitalize off of a non-speaking background role from an episode of The Walking Dead. Granted it was the finale from last season, but still.....

Today we learned that the "Pickaxe Survivor" is doing yet another "Meet & Greet", but this time it is at a pawnshop:

Happy Anniversary to all you suckers, we mean KoDT:LAS Backers.

2017.01.011 Ken "Whit" Whitman Will Teach You How to Stand Around for $35

2011.01.011 Ken "Whit" Whitman Will Teach You How to Stand Around for $35
We think most of our readers would have a wide array of rather descriptive adjectives to describe Ken "Whit" Whitman, but "Expert" and "Actor", much less "Expert Actor" would be pretty far down the list.

Nevertheless, our main-man Ken "Whit" Whitman is again trying to sell his services as a consultant for folks wanting to become actors.

"Whit will guid you through the process of becoming a paid film actor. Showing you the ins-and-outs and dos-and-donts on getting started down this road. The class will help you understand the process of acting in front of the camera, and will expedite your ability to get an agent. Cost: $35 a class.

About Whit Whitman: Whit Whitman has acted in the Walking Dead, Marvel Powers, and the new Tupac Movie releasing this summer."

2011.01.011 Ken "Whit" Whitman Will Teach You How to Stand Around for $35
A quick check of Ken "Whit" Whitman's IMDB page doesn't even list the Walking Dead and Marvel Powers, and "Marvel Powers" isn't even a thing according to a quick web search and IMDB check. It is interesting though that Kenny lists himself as a stand-in for Dywane Johnson. Let that sink in....

...not "Dwayne Johnson", but "Dywane Johnson".

Whit Whitman's IMDB Page

Of course that seems legit, and we do have some evidence of the Walking Dead work, but basically this means most of Ken "Whit" Whitman's "experience" as an actor is literally just standing around. So, for $35 you too can learn the art of standing around.

2017.01.19 Update
A reader of NAD sent us this gem, with a bit of an explanation of the Marvel Powers being a low-budget show on a rather small viewing platform that didn't get much traction.

2016.12.29 Ken "Whit" Whitman's Most Fervent Supporter Shills for the Man....
We've received notice of this Facebook post promoting Ken "Whit" Whitman, which has already been covered by Tenkar's Tavern, but........we like to post the details anyway to be thorough.

"I am promoting my friend's business - He shot my commercial in an hour, got it edited and out in 2 days, and did a re-edit for me with a changed voice over in about 2 hours.
This commercial may not be YOUR cup of tea, but it is reflective of EXACTLY what I wanted, and it was done super inexpensive (I usually pay $500 to $550 for this level of service - and wait 7-10 days for completion). My commercial was shot, edited and up and ON cable TV in 6 days.

We wonder how many of Ken "Whit" Whitman's 3,619 Kickstarter backers think that he is "Easy to work with". Of course we are only counting those from his unfulfilled projects, but they outnumber the 196 backers from his fulfilled campaign......

2016.11.16 Ken "Whit" Whitman Posts About a Public Appearance

2016.11.16 Ken "Whit" Whitman Posts About a Public Appearance
Our Main Man Ken "Whit" Whitman again tries to hide and self-promote all at the same time. Not quite sure if he gets it yet or not, but these two actions are not quite congruent.....kind of like stating that his phone number is available online for those wanting to connect, but he never answers it anyway....

One of our sometimes contributors, Erik Tenkar, posted this tidbit this morning and we are pretty much just copying it here for the record, so don't give us any credit on uncovering this bit of information. Honestly, we have problems trying to keep up with the varying Facebook accounts as it is (we have this one, or this one....well let's not forget about "Whit Whitman".....we could be here for days checking them all out.), so things like this help out a lot.

2016.11.16 Facebook Post
"I will be appearing at Games & Comics in London, KY on Saturday, November 19th from Noon till 4PM.

I will be signing autographs, and you can have your picture taken with me, and we can talk about the show, though obviously I can't say shit about season 7!

I hope to see all the Walking Dead fans in the London Ky area. And I want to give a big Shout Out to one of my best friends Marcus King for inviting me to his wonderful store!"

Not quite sure why people would want to see a background extra, much less get an autograph. You'd think that someone from craft services or even a driver or medic for the show would be more interesting than a guy who just stood in the background for a few seconds.

2016.11.18 UPDATE
Evidently those pictures aren't free and will set you back $18......screenshot courtesy of Erik Tenkar.

"I will be arriving Saturday morning from the last day of shooting on Walking Dead Season 7. Yep, its a wrap on Friday. And Then Ky here I come.

From noon till 3, I will be signing and doing a general meet and greet. At 3PM I Will talk about my experience. 3:30 I will do a Q&A, and at 3:45 I will talk about how to be an actor and getting on WD fir season 8."

Well, well.......we'll have to file this somewhere between "WTF?!" and "called it" on behalf of Jolly Blackburn.

Our main man Ken "Whit" Whitman hasn't wasted any time trying to parley his meager role as a Walking Dead extra into something bigger.

This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day and is also Retro Mega Comic Con in Savannah, GA. Now there isn't that much info on the website, well at least info we want, but the Facebook page has quite a bit......

2016.02.11 Ken Whitman Endorses NAD!

2016.02.11 Ken Whitman Endorses NAD!
Thanks to some of the readers over at Tenkar's Tavern I got a bit of news that Not Another Dime (For Ken Whitman) got a little love over at Ken "Whit" Whitman's Stage 32 profile.

Oh the hilarity. Evidently someone "grabbed up" the name "Ken Whitman" and used that account to write on the real Ken Whitman's (going as Whit Whitman) wall.

"Hi, my name is Ken. I like to steal from people. When someone finds me in person, I will pay dearly"

"Ken, where is our money? Scamming thief"

...and of course, my favorite "Ken, why do you steal people's hard earned money? http://notanotherdime.blogspot.com/ Don't hire this guy ever, he will steal from you."
HILARIOUS, unless you are Ken "Whit" Whitman

2016.02.15 EDIT
Looks like Ken "Whit" Whitman decided to take his toy and go home (i.e. He either deleted his account or set it to private)

2015.11.16 Much More of Ken Whitman's "Limited Edition" Resin Spotted in a Retail Outfit

2015.11.16 Much More of Ken Whitman's "Limited Edition" Resin Spotted in a Retail Outfit
You would think that by now, more than three months after starting Not Another Dime (For Ken Whitman) that I wouldn't be surprised by Ken Whitman's shenanigans, especially when you factor in all the things I've heard 2nd hand but can't get enough background info to share......

.....but I continue to be amazed. Last week there was a bit of a brouhaha over Noble Knight Games carrying some KoDT 20 Years of covers books and some resin from the Spinward Traveller Kickstarter.

The TL;DR version is Ken Whitman sold Noble Knight Games books and resin ships that (arguably) had already been bought and paid for by Kickstarter backers, stiffing not only the backers, but Noble Knight Games because he shorted them $700+ in product. Instead of recouping some of their losses Noble Knight Games decided to take the high road and eat a $2500 investment by giving these tainted products to some of the Kickstarter Backers.

Now I've always assumed that Ken Whitman wasn't on the up & up when it came to these items. Complaints about Kickstarter Backers getting stiffed abound and I suspect that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg here because Ken Whitman sold a lot of product via his website and there is no oversight there. We know the KoDT books were pretty cheap to produce and there is no telling how many of the "limited edition" and softcover books he sold. Nobody has seen the $250 leather-bound or $50 softcover books in the wild.

Basically I have low expectations of Ken Whitman's business sense and a high expectation of his ability to scam and steal. Even then Ken Whitman's ability beat the spread on these expectations pops up now and then.

Display Case at Games & Comics in London, KY
A week ago, as the Noble Knight Games drama was unfolding, one of Ken Whitman's supporters posted this picture online. See anything familiar?

There, on the bottom of the display case at the physical store for Troll and Toad is a bunch of Ken Whitman's Traveller resin. I can make out painted & unpainted Beowolfs, unpainted Scout Ships, unpainted Gazelles, and a bunch of some ships I'm not familiar with.

Here is a link to the picture on Facebook (until it gets pulled).

Now these were all "limited editions" and I find it hard to believe that Troll and Toad would naturally corner the market with at least 12% of all these "limited edition" Beowulfs. A quick search of the online store doesn't show these models available.......but this is a recent picture.

There is a helluva lot more resin here than what Noble Knight Games had.......

2015.11.22 THIS is the Reason Not Another Dime (for Ken Whitman) Exists

2015.11.22 THIS is the Reason Not Another Dime (for Ken Whitman) Exists
I know a lot of people probably just read the articles here and don't see the comments. Part of that can be explained by the fact I don't use post breaks. The only way the comments can be viewed are if you click on the post titles to read just that post.

This blog has but one purpose: to document Ken Whitman's shady business dealings. While the original intent was to be somewhat fair and neutral with regards to Ken Whitman, after a while all this does alter your perceptions of the man. Hard not to see Ken Whitman as a con-man.

I'd argue that one of the people most hurt (on so many levels) is Jolly Blackburn, creator of the Knights of the Dinner Table.

Jolly Blackburn has left a new comment on your post "2015.11.20 Request for Assistance" (emphasis is mine, not Jolly's):

"Well I woke up to yet another email from one of Ken's 'friend's maintaining Ken 'means well' and doesn't set out to fail. I want to make it clear what happened with these books in this latest revelation. While a lot backers were complaining about not receiving their books, Ken took the books he had in hand and SOLD them to Noble Knight. We've been compiling a list of backers who never got their books. Almost all of them are European addresses. Now Ken charged $100 for these books. For those in Europe he had them prepay $40+ in shipping. So that's $140 per book (less the $17 or so to print them) he pocketed. THEN he sold them for (Im guessing $25 to $50 each) to NK for further profit.

Nice work if you can find it I guess.

I don't want to hear that Ken "means well" any more. Sorry, I'm a little annoyed with these most recent revealation. Learning he had the books in hands and just didn't send them out is a jaw dropper.
When someone says this guy "means well" they are acting as an enabler to allow this guy to do this sort of thing to the next person in line."

2015.08.19 Ken Whitman is a Leader in the Quality POD Market (at Least on Facebook?)

2015.08.19 Ken Whitman is a Leader in the Quality POD Market (at Least on Facebook?)
Well we know that Ken Whitman has driven RapidPOD into the ground and pretty much took Vixen Printing down through guilt by association...(I'm sure the thefts didn't help either).

We also know that he's run a couple of "print shops" since the demise of RapidPOD and I'm somewhat confident that given what he said the costs were for the KoDT 20 Years of Covers book, and their (low) quality, that ol Ken Whitman has kept a printer on-hand over the years.

There was a dedicated RPG Publisher/Printing group on Facebook that Ken Whitman was kicked out of (I'd have no idea why), so the kind of false self-promotion did what any scam artist looking for a new audience would do.....he formed his own group.....

Quality Art Book & Prints FB Group
...and here it is, the "Quality Art Book & Prints" Seriously? Do you think this header graphic works for a "quality" group? A decade-old printer (I'm speculating.....it goes for about $2K) up against a painted cinder-block wall with the sparsest smattering of supplies tossed about? You couldn't spend $33 on some shitty stock art from iStockPhoto?

It's OK Ken Whitman, you can get smaller pieces for about $10....

For someone who puts himself out there as a graphics guy, I just assumed you'd turn some of your skill inward......well, I guess he did....my bad.
Shitty 2' Header Logo
Hell, I can spend less than 2' coming up with something that looks more "quality" than this....and I even used Comic Sans (deliberately)!

Well, maybe Ken Whitman doesn't want to look too professional because then maybe some folks from back in the RapidPOD days would want some of their money back.

You know, like this guy who filed a lien against RapidPOD in Kentucky.

2015.08.13 But do They Know?

Yesterday it was discovered that Ken Whitman is listed as a Guest of Honor for Con on the Cob, a multi-faceted convention I'd heard good things about in the past. The convention is in two months and their website lists a slew of guests, which the are also promoting on Facebook.

At first glance it looks like maybe they just have their guest list from last year up because that section's lead-in paragraph ends with, "We are exceedingly proud to present last year’s special guests (we’ll update soon with the 2015 guests):"

Now with only two months to go before the convention you'd hope that they would have an update guest list, and while they are at it an updated list of their 2015 sponsors! It looks like the names might be right and they just need to remove edit the references to last year's event, "Yeah, that's a misprint. These are indeed this year's guests."

My question at this point is "Do they know that one of their guests of honor is a scam artist?" I'm thinking that answer is a resounding "no". Ken Whitman was a Guest of Honor at Mediopolis (you can read some of the details over at Tenkar's Tavern), but it looks like a few people reached out to them and informed the convention that they may not wish to have a noted Kickstarter scam artist run a panel called, "GET THE DOUGH: CROWD SOURCE FINANCING VS. TRADITIONAL (BIZ)". Evidently the Con Staff have wisely decided to  remove Ken Whitman from their event as he doesn't show up on the schedule and his special guest page is now a "404" entry.

An email response to my inquiry into the matter was replied to:
"Hi there!

Thank you for reaching Mediopolis Expo. We have received several emails regarding Ken Whitman and are investigating these accusations. I truly appreciate you preserving the integrity of our expo.

I hope to see you at the show.

Sincerely,

Kevin Marshall
VIP Services"

Good enough for me.

As I said earlier, I've heard good things about Con on the Cob and I'm running with the assumption that they simply don't realize the type of "special" their Special Guest Ken Whitman is. Now I'm not saying that people should email the con to demand they drop Ken Whitman from their guest list, but it would probably be a good idea to inform them they might want to look into Ken Whitman's recent behavior and decide for themselves if this is the kind of person they wish to bring in to their convention.

There is a contact page for Con of the Cob here, but you can also use their Facebook page and the con runner's email is listed at the bottom of the page.

2015.08.10 Wouldn't YOU Like to See the Man Behind the Curtain?

2015.08.10 Wouldn't YOU Like to See the Man Behind the Curtain?
After posting about Ken Whitman's "new foray" into the world of Print on Demand I got to thinking.....surely there is more to this than a Facebook post?

It took less than five minutes to narrow down the most likely suspect and a bit more to ferret out the double-blinds, dead-ends, and other trickery Ken Whitman used to try and hide himself, even if just a bit.

The problem is that sometimes the old life just clings to you and you just can't help but draw attention to yourself. Hell, the "old life" of Ken Whitman is really what this blog is all about. I know I kind of suck at hiding my personal bias at times, OK...all the time, but I have blatantly asked you, the reader, to assume everything I'm saying is a lie and to follow the bread-crumbs I'm trying to set before you. Please, make up your own mind, but do so having knowledge of things Ken Whitman would rather see buried.

Sidekick Printing Listing
I found this Merchant Circle listing pretty darned quick as it was the only print shop in Brandenburg than came up on my initial Google foray.

The main page is pretty innocuous, so I tried to do some confirmation. The WhoIs listing shows that the website listed was registered  on August 27th, just days before GenCon. Whoever did this site went the el cheapo route of using GoDaddy, which is good in that their contact details aren't available since a third-party is listed, unlike the d20 Entertainment WhoIs listing.

2015.08.18 The website listed is for a legit new printing outfit in California...

The phone number listed is for some little girl's phone, which is why I blurred it out. That's pretty messed up....

I thought I might be at a dead end until I started clicking on all the tabs. Nothing to see for the most part, but when you get to "More".....whammo! Digital Print Quote showing the mug of our main man himself! Oh look...Digital Print Quote has the same fricken address as Sidekick Printing!

Digital Print Quote listing
You know, I did go and check in with the Kentucky Secretary of State to do a business search and wouldn't you know it, neither Sidekick Printing or Digital Print Quote exists as a legitimate company in the state of Kentucky...not even as a lapsed organization.

The number listed just goes straight to voicemail and I'm not sure where that goes....a quick google search tries to tell me a lot of interesting things, one of which is that it should be an Evansville, OH prefix and another leads to an escort review that had been removed.

I think this number has been bounced around a bit, to say the least.

I'm really not too surprised at a merchant score of 76 for Digital Print Quote, but all of the review listed are from a 17 day window back in 2011 and two of the five reviews are from the same person. It is much harder to scam someone if they know where to find you and could conceivable walk over there.....

2015.08.07 Beyond the River Update

2015.08.07 Beyond the River Update
I'm not used to being able to see Kickstarter updates, but I'm now starting to suspect that the updates themselves aren't private unless the Kickstarter creator decides they should be.

On the heels of rumors that Ken Whitman has found someone to "relieve" him of the obligations of fulfilling his Pencil Dice Kickstarter comes this evidence that Troll Lord Games is stepping in to help "relieve" Ken Whitman of some of his obligations for the Castles & Crusades: Beyond the River Kickstarter.

Ugh.....seriously? I get how the owners of this IP might want to step in and take care of their fan base, and I have to give them some props for trying to salvage relations with this precious commodity (fans/customers), but at what cost? Picking up the tab basically gives Ken Whitman free money....

Troll Lords Stepping In.....
"A reward and update from Troll Lord Games

Greetings everyone!

We wanted to give you all a quick update and to give you another stretch reward.  This time it is the original unabbreviated script (which had to be pared down), written by Stephen "Troll Lord" Chenault.  You can download it here: http://we.tl/eVU8hjrHPm

As we mentioned last time, Ken has asked us to take over some of the work on this and of course we are happy to do so.  So many of our fans joined this Kickstarter because of the association with C&C.  Even though this is a d20 Entertainment project, we are all currently going through options to see the best way to proceed.

With that in mind, please don't hesitate to contact us directly at productsupport@trolllord.com if you have any concerns for questions.

In the meantime, you can head over to www.trolllord.com and see all the excitement in the Troll Dens.

Thanks for your time and we hope you enjoy the script!

The Trolls

Troll Lord Games"

So let me get this straight....Ken Whitman takes $6,001 from YOUR fan-base and doesn't deliver the "pilot". Looking at the comments I'm not sure any backer rewards have been fulfilled. Some of the rewards were basically "we'll keep you informed about production!" and it looks like outside of the campaign funding push there have been 2.....two! comments from Ken Whitman and one is to mention they get a lot of emails and the other is to say there was an accidental deletion of the d20 Entertainment Kickstarter account. Not one comment about the project. Well, that is what updates are for, right?

Hey hey....22 updates before the one posted above.....but only 10 of those are post-Kickstarter Campaign and only 4 are actually about the project.

  1. C&C: Blacktooth Ridge is set to shoot in May! (April 25th)
  2. Day One Shoot - NOW IN PRODUCTION! (May 16th)
  3. Castle & Crusades : Beyond the River World Premier (May 25th)
  4. C&C Blacktooth Ridge TV Pilot Update (July 27th)
New guys doing a bang-up job
Unfortunately all those links are for backers only, but based on the comments I doubt they were positive ones. I have yet to hear 1st hand of anyone who has seen this Castle & Crusades "Pilot", although I have heard unkind rumors that, if even remotely true, would mean that this film should never see the light of day.

I can't go off of rumors, but I find it incredibly telling that Troll Lords Games would put out a video (a nice one at that) the day after the intended premier of their "pilot". Since they are promoting in online as their "first ever short film" I have to take that as Ken Whitman's film was a flop, failure, or no-show.

Again, let me circle back around. Evidently Ken Whitman is $6,001 richer (minus KS fees), hasn't really communicated with or provided rewards to backers, and evidently has been passed over for future work by Troll Lord Games. I think that the "Troll Lords" are being overly polite when they say, "Ken has asked us to take over some of the work on this and of course we are happy to do so." Chalk it off to my bias, but I hear, "Fuck you guys, I got my $5K and change, you 125 backers can go form a circle-jerk. I'd rather not work on projects that give me even more money."

Obviously Troll Lord Games is in a bad spot, almost as bad as this Kickstarter's backers. Personally I'd rather see them use this new production company to make a similar, but definitely different "pilot" and work with these 125 backers to litigate Ken Whitman into submission. Make Ken Whitman pay for his mistakes, don't step in an cover for him.

Of course they need to do what makes sense to them on a financial and philosophical level. Something tells me they don't have the contractual and representative clout that Kenzer & Company has, which is why they at least got a half-assed screening of their project at GenCon.

2015.08.08 Ken Whitman's GF (?) Strikes Back

2015.08.08 Ken Whitman's GF (?) Strikes Back on Facebook
This morning, Kristin Pelletier, presumably Ken Whitman's girlfriend, but definitely someone listed on Facebook as a "Producer at d20 Entertainment" (I thought Ken Whitman claimed last week to be a one-man show?) and one of the actors in Ken Whitman's Spinward Traveller who is usually seen in Ken Whitman's company decided to come to his defense.

This post isn't publicly view-able unless you are Facebook friends with Erik Tenkar (of Tenkar's Tavern)

2015.08.08 Ken Whitman's GF (?) Strikes Back"I was there for a lot of it. Many of these details are incorrect and silly. Barbara Blackburn tried to say hi to me there. I didn't "ferry" a list. Ken is broke and trying to finish projects that are out of money while the Internet has fun abusing him. He should be called Ken Lateman. He's late. Not evil. Just an ADD kid who bit off way more than he can chew. He talked to the ZOE guys about sharing a party. They decided not to do that. All the D20 people went to Slippery Noodle and had a lovely time with Traveller fans who are so nice. Emotionally mature. It's not like the Knights people wanted to party. They just wanted to be mean and awful. No one cares Barbara started hating Ken when two of the lesser known actors demanded extra money that hadn't been budgeted for. Ken didn't cough up the EXTRA money fast enough, so Barbara called him and cussed him out. It went downhill from there. The infamous car test drive was the dealership letting him leave the lot, but after a couple weeks it turned out they couldn't give him the credit so he gave it back. This is true.
I can't believe this appeared in my feed. It's like pirhannas on a chicken, except it's trolls on twisted facts and Internet mob justice.
The reason Ken Whitman still has supporters is because he has nothing but good intentions. He goes out of his way to help people. He has wonderful children. (Maybe think of them as you spew your venom, people.) he still has supporters because he does cool stuff. He shoots for the moon. So he only hits the roof. Please people. Stop the hate."

1st, I want to know who are "all the d20people"? Ken Whitman is on record stating it is just him. 2nd, am I correct in assuming that only the Traveller fans showed up? This was supposed to be an exclusive party for the KoDT:LAS backers.....why would there be Traveller fans? I have to assume because the party took place right after the Spinward Traveller showing and three hours after the KoDT:LAS showing. 3rd.....pulling the ADD card? Really?

4th...and I think this is telling in so many ways, the "test drive", according to Kristin, was for two weeks because "they couldn't give him the credit". Was Ken Whitman trying to purchase the car or not? A test drive is usually to check out the car and attempts to give a buyer credit only occur when they are attempting to purchase something! According to Ken Whitman (part of a KoDT:LAS post today):
2015.08.08 KS Statement

So Ken Whitman took a car and used it for two weeks to show off....I'm sorry, that is too biased (even if it might be true).....to use as a production vehicle. He states he knew he couldn't afford it, so he used someone else's property for personal gain. Did the dealership know they were essentially funding the KoDT:LAS shoot?

The Legal portion of the website Free Dictionary defines Fraud as: A false representation of a matter of fact—whether by words or by conduct, by false or misleading allegations, or by concealment of what should have been disclosed—that deceives and is intended to deceive another so that the individual will act upon it to her or his legal injury. Ken Whitman took use of a Cadillac for two weeks under the presumption of a "test drive" prior to purchase knowing full well that he would be unable to actually purchase the vehicle. He used the fraudulently obtained vehicle to use during the KoDT:LAS shoot because he "thought it would be fun".

Last, but far from least, the road to hell is paved with good intentions......

Evidently Kristin Pelletier hails from the Facebook School of post-quick and remove once read. Nice try Kristin, but people tend to record stuff these days:
Kristin's addendum post

I don't know where the $64,000 figure came up, especially since the top-of-the-line Chrysler 300 with every single option available tops-out at $54,050 (that would be for the 2015 300C PLATINUM RWD). That seems to be a specific number for some reason.....
