If you have way too much time on your hands (seriously), head on over to Tenkar's Tavern to scroll through the biggest wall of text I have ever seen on a blog.
Erik has pretty much put the entirety of the NSFW Facebook message exchange between Ken "Whit" Whitman and one Sufflatus Lorem, a fan of NAD.
I think the highlights from yesterday are sufficient, but if you have the time to kill, and the patience to read a wall of poor spelling, then by all means, be my guest.
I personally like this small shout-out:
"Ken Whitman

Ken Whitman
Look, fuck with me all you like on my kickstarter , my not another dime pages, just give me some breathing room so I can pay my rent and get this shit done
night little man"
Yeah...if this was "your" page Mr. Whitman, then you've got some serious self-worth issues....but for the record Ken "Whit" Whitman, you need to know the difference between libel and slander....and that the best defense for anyone accused of either is the truth. You've libeled folks in the past and claim to be able to sue for slander....and that some DA will "pay" for the investigation....clearly he needs to understand the difference between civil and criminal offenses, in addition to libel vs. slander, himself.
No....I am not a lawyer, but even a basic college course on the legal environment covers these topics......
A blog dedicated to documenting the assorted details regarding the business/scam dealings of Ken Whitman or Whit Whitman, as he rebranded himself. Originally limited to those interactions within the Role-Playing-Game industry, we've been forced to "branch out" in order to keep the public properly informed.
Pages
A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose
Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character. (Editor's Note: After years of this documentation, we simply cannot be anything BUT "con" when it comes to Mr. Whitman)
Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.
Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.
Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.
Note to contributors: If you have some valid data to send, screenshots, links to other Ken Whitman stories, etc., please feel free to send a gmail to notanotherdimeblog. We'll look into it and post if appropriate.

2015.11.18 Ken Whitman Screws Over Businesses as Easily as his Customers
So about those items over at Noble Knight Games....
.....it appears that they've been screwed over just like everyone else has by "our boy" Ken Whitman, who has fled from Kentucky to Georgia and allegedly "changed" his name to Whit Whitman.
There is a HUGE thread over at the KenzerCo forums that were set up specifically to allow Ken Whitman to "be more responsive to backers and keep them updated", but....of course....Ken Whitman couldn't be bothered to actually take advantage of this above & beyond effort by KenzerCo to allow the then-failing Ken Whitman to "turn things around and move forward".
You can read through the many posts and what you'll find is a lot of frustration from the fans & backers and far too much apologizing from folks that are not Ken Whitman. Personally, I'd just skip ahead to page 22 (or so) to where the conversation goes to the interaction between Noble Knight Games and Ken Whitman. Since you can read what is a copy of a 1st hand account there, we'll just provide this one highlight:
"We've decided not to sell these after more information has been presented to us. Regardless, we are now out around $2500 with Whitman (including both ships and books) including $755 outstanding directly."
So what you have here is basically a company that paid $2500 for product and was shorted $755 worth of said product. Because of Ken Whitman's general fuckery they've decided it was in their best interest to "write off" the investment of books and resin ships as "goodwill" instead of recouping what they can to cut their losses to the minimum of $755.
Seriously, how bad does your supplier have to be that you'd rather take it in the shorts to the tune of $2500? Think about how much extra product Noble Knight Games has to sell above & beyond their norm to make up that shortfall.
If you are in the market for any games, please support Noble Knight Games. Not sure they have what you want? Use this link for an advanced search. Let's show them some love!

2008.04.17 Ken Whitman Pens a Deal to Nowhere
I've been told one of Ken Whitman's many tactics is to insinuate himself in with other successful people by wheeling and dealing his way into a project like a 5 year old child playing mom off against dad.
The scam does like this:
"Hey, did you know successful person A is interested in doing project X?" once this person (we'll call them successful person "B") is interested Ken Whitman will approach successful person A and say, "Hey, did you know that successful person B is totally on board with doing project X.....if I'm involved?"
This way Ken Whitman seems invaluable to both successful people and gets to ride on their coat-tails for a while. All he has to do is have an idea....he doesn't necessarily have to execute or produce. Of course I could be wrong, but this man-in-the-middle setup fits the narrative that is Ken Whitman's many failures to actually produce and projects getting done by other people once's he is gone....
You know.....taking my word for it is a bit much to ask....let us look at a time Ken Whitman did this.
According to this 2008 series of posts on The RPG Site, Ken Whitman sought out Margaret Weiss to do an RPG based on Highlander, but didn't have the rights to do that. Instead he positioned himself as the man-in-the-middle to print the thing, but he didn't have the legal rights to do jack squat.
"Actually what happened with that was that Ken Whitman tried to snag the liscense out from under the guy who currently has it via the CCG (now back in print believe it or not). "
"I am the owner of the boards of the Highlander TCG boards (though I don't post much there anymore). Yes, Ken Whitman tried to acquire the rights, said he did when in fact he didn't, and yes he went as far as signing a deal with MWP to do the rpg without owning the rights. Then he went on to threaten to sue anyone who asserted he was a crook eventhough he told several of us directly that he did have the rights and that he did have a deal with MWP. Of course we didn't know that he didn't really have the rights to jack shit."
Maybe if we're lucky we can get some more info....

2015.08.14 The Saga of Ken Whitman as Recorded at the Tavern
While I'm more than happy enough to share screen shots and cover some of the same territory as others have already, this blog isn't really intending to simply copy other people's content word for word.
This might change at a later date, but only for the express purpose of documenting information for recall/look-up reasons. The reason that each post starts with the date in a specific format is so that those wanting or needing to "follow along" can get a chronology of events accurate.
Basically the sheer volume of lies, scams, and utter WTF can get overwhelming and it doesn't help when information is spread all across the internet.
One decent repository so far, at least when dealing with the KoDT: LAS saga has been Tenkar's Tavern. Erik Tenkar has been doing a bang-up job reporting on Kickstarter scammers and is a member of the Kicksnarker G+ group. Tenkar's Tavern doesn't currently have a search function and Erik is about as good with the labels as I am, so here is a down-n-dirty list of appropriate posts regarding our own local hero:
2018.06.01 Guest Poster - The Frugal GM - As The d20 (Entertainment) Spins - Wayward Kickstarter. The 1st of three guest posts that does a good job of breaking down the failures of the KoDT: LAS project, from a backer's perspective of that time. In the comments Ken Whitman chimes in and tries to claim that all the actors had been paid, but one of the actors comments that hasn't happened.
2018.07.16 Knights of the Dinner Table Episode #1 (Somehow I missed this). The closest thing to good news out of the lot.
2018.07.23 Wayward Kickstarter - Knights of the Dinner Table: Live Action Series - At Whit's End. Ken Whitman caught in another lie regarding emailing his backers the tickets to the Premiere and After Party they paid for.
2018.07.27 Kickstarter - Ken Whitman Redefines Failure Yet Again - Knights of the Dinner Table: Live Action Series (You Know All that Shit he Promised the $450 Backers? Fuck Em!) One of Ken Whitman's KoDT:LAS Actors calls him out on some of his lies. There is a GREAT comment from Jolly Blackburn that answers a few questions folks have had regarding how Ken Whitman can keep continue to scam people:
"Just a quick comment — someone pointed out Dyson Logos' comments. Specifically about my knowing of Ken's reputation prior to this kickstarter. Yes - guilty as charged. Years ago during the rapid pro thing I read a lot of things about Ken/Rapid Pro and his not delivering on product. Couple of things in the 7/8 years since. Ken went away. Ken came back personally apologizing to several folks in the industry (including myself - though he'd never personally wronged me to my knowledge) and armed with a story about how he had been undiagnosed ADHD which destroyed his marriage and many many friendships. Ken claimed he'd been on meds, getting counseling and that he was keenly interested in rebuilding his rep, making amends and becomgin a 'new man'. I know I'm not the only gaming industry type to be approached with this Ken 2.0.
Anyway Ken invited me and my wife down to Kentucky in 2013 to watch the shoot of Brothers Barbarian Season 2. I had seen BB1 on youtube and knew Ken had pulled that one together. I was impressed by the number of people who managed to bring together to knock out these projects. And I quite enjoyed BB season 1. While on set I met a LOT of people who were hard working, professional and just all around great people. I'm still friends with many of them today. I also got to know Larry Elmore and some of the actors who would later work on KODTLAS. Ken was the center of it all.
Long story short, I left that shoot thinking Ken had changed. He was producing something. I really thought that perhaps he had finally found his niche — making quirkly little film projects.
Fast forward a bit, when Ken approached us about KODTLAS my first response was that it was going to be a hard sell to my partners. They knew of his reptuation a bit. And we weren't sure he could pull it off. So Ken went out and did a proof of concept piece based on an obscure two page KODT strip (where Brian and Weird Pete are talking in the game store). It was perfect but the casting was dead on and we saw the potential. Looked like Ken had a great feel/appreciation of the property. He'd completed two seasons of Brother Barbarian (though we didn't know at the time he would never deliver finished/edited episodes of BB2) so it appeared he might actually know what he was doing. So we granted him a license and he proceeded with his kickstarter.
Yes, I was taken in. So were the actors involved, the cinematographer, the crew and virtually everyone else Ken worked with. Unless you've met Ken personally or hung around with him it's hard to explain the charm/charisma this guy has. I've known people who have fallen for his 'new man' routine many times over the years. It's an ability he has.
At GenCon this year while I manned the booth I was shocked as person after person came up with "Ken screwed me too" stories. I'm not really proud of the fact I was duped by this guy. Nor am I happy that others gave him money based on our granting him a license."
2018.07.28 Kickstarter - Ken Whitman Redefines Failure Yet Again - Part II - Complete with "Guest Poster" - Knights of the Dinner Table: Live Action Series. A guest post discussion regarding the "Ken Whitman Cycle" and the sudden cancellation of the scheduled Gen Con after party that the guest poster paid $450 for.
2018.07.28 Kickstarter - Ken Whitman Redefines Failure Yet Again - Part III - Complete Inability to Answer a Simple Yes / No Question " - Knights of the Dinner Table: Live Action Series. Ken Whitman cannot answer s simply yes/know question about trying to take credit for the party he didn't throw......but we learned he would later anyway.
2015.08.06 Wayward Kickstarter - The Life & Times of Ken Whitless, Living "Day by Day" on a Cruise - The Horrors! - Knights of the Dinner Table: Live Action Series. Ken Whitman gets called out on his lies by one of his benefactors that loaned him a lot of money outside of (and addition to) the KoDT: LAS Kickstarter. The comments, as usual, have some gems in there as well.
2015.08.07 Ken Whitless Greatest Hits - "You Can't Cancel What You Never Reserved" & "For Just $10 You Can Take On $10000 of Debt and Responsibilities" (More Hits Coming Daily - Act Now, Supplies are Limitless!) Guest post about Ken Whitman's "cancellation" of his Kickstarter Backer party and his attempts to glom on to the private party thrown in it's wake. Rather long, but has some good details about the alleged threats and his cancellation of the second showing. We'll have to delve deeper into this bit for certain....
2015.08.07 Let Ken Whitless Teach YOU How to Bilk Honest Folks out of Cold Hard Cash. Article about Ken Whitman's upcoming participation in the Mediopolis Convention.
