2019.03.09 Surprising Ken Whitman "Update" on Spinward Traveller

2019.03.09 Surprising Ken Whitman "Update" on Spinward Traveller
Color us surprised! After just shy of 2 & 1/2 years after his last update, Ken "Whit" Whitman graces the Spinward Traveller Kickstarter with another update titled "Keep Hope Alive: Spinward Traveller is Coming Soon..."

Really Kenny....Really? Why should your 827 backers have any hope after more than four years late on your promised delivery, especially since your spate, all 6, of Kickstarters from "D20 Entertainment" have gone unfulfilled, at least by you and your "Company".

Four years late....on this project and 2.5 years without an update...why this and why now? Is this just another attempt to kick the can that is your Kickstarter obligations, down the road? Is there some legal action prompting this, or something altogether different that is now motivating you? We genuinely would like to know, but in an appropriately documented fashion. This writer's $5 bet is that he's testing the waters to see if people are still paying attention (Surprise Kenny, we are!)

We here at Not Another Dime (For Ken Whitman) were not savvy enough to see your Kickscamming in time to toss you a buck on each fraudulent Kickstarter campaign (that is our opinion, which we are legally entitled to express) so we could see these updates, but we suspect there is nothing of real substance or someone would have forwarded us the info (Hint, Hint)...

2018.12.13 Ken "Whit" Whitman Admits to More Failure Than He Maybe Realizes

2018.12.13 Ken "Whit" Whitman Admits to More Failure Than He Maybe Realizes
Yesterday we received word regarding a rather cryptic post on Ken "Whit" Whitman's Twitter account:

"This project has apparently failed to get to completion for lack of funds, and perhaps for other reasons. It was a great idea, and a lot of people put into it a great deal of effort. If someday, the files and editing skill emerge, we may still see it on the small screen."

2018.12.14 Ken "Whit" Whitman Twitter Message
The sad part it was we weren't sure which Kickstarter project Kenny was referring to, although Spinward Traveller was the most likely suspect.

It looks like Ken "Whit" Whitman was trying to send a direct message on his Twitter account and accidentally sent this out instead.

This morning we're treated to the news that this same message was posted on the Spinward Traveller Facebook page Thursday.....

2018.12.13 Ken "Whit" Whitman Facebook Post
In Case Kenny Deletes the FB Post

It doesn't take much to see that as of the time of this post Ken "Whit" Whitman couldn't be bothered to post this where his 827 backers who pledged $49,588 could see it. It looks like Kenny did log in to Kickstarter last week, but did he update any of his Kickstarters?

2018.12.06 Ken "Whit" Whitman's Last Kickstarter Login
In short: No

Not really surprising, but Ken "Whit" Whitman has the time to not only update one social media platform, but two.....and he doesn't even contact the backers on Kickstarter?

So what we have is Ken "Whit" Whitman claiming that Spinward Traveller will not be done.....can not be done, due to a lack of funds and "perhaps other reasons". Of course he backhandedly admits that the film itself is missing, "If someday, the files and editing skill emerge, we may still see it on the small screen."...and evidently that he doesn't have the skills to work on the project even if he had the files.

Yeah....lack of funds is the problem here....

Our 100% made up speculation is that Kenny is trying to kick his obligations to the curb and set his backers expectations so when he gets his payday he doesn't have to shell out any of his new money to his old scams.

2017.10.23 Looking at Ken "Whit" Whitman Kickstarter Updates (and some ugly math)

2017.10.23 Looking at Ken "Whit" Whitman Kickstarter Updates (and some ugly math)
Yesterday we accidentally read into something that wasn't quite right, but the bigger issue is worth pointing out anyway.

During the wonderful early/late AM exchanges between Ken "Whit" Whitman and Jolly Blackburn we thought we read that Kenny was going to provide an update to all of his Kickstarter Backers.

We can admit when we are wrong because in re-reading this wonderful exchange, we did like Ken "Whit" Whitman did himself and only focused on part of a statement and assumed that the reply applied to what we were focused on and not the other part of the statement.

This Ken "Whit" Whitman Exchange Gave us False Hope
Jolly Blackburn: "oh??? so you are still working on our kickstarters? How about an update on your KS pages to let folks now. I has been 15 months since you've so much as dropped a note there."

Ken "Whit" Whitman: "@ Jolly... Yes"

We thought Kenny was replying that he would post an update on the Kickstarter page(s) informing his backers that he is allegedly still working on their projects....that he took money for.....and didn't produce what was promised.

Now we could have easily just skipped by this because there was no record of our assumptions regarding this post and nobody would have been the wiser....BUT we wanted to look at when was Ken "Whit" Whitman's last Kickstarter updates.

In no particular order:

Ken "Whit" Whitman's Failure with Deck Dice
1) Deck Dice was last updated on July 17, 2016. This means it has been 464 days since the backers for this Kickstarter have been updated.
Ken "Whit" Whitman's Failure with Castles & Crusades

2) Castles & Crusades: Beyond the River was last updated on July 17, 2016. This means it has been 464 days since the backers for this Kickstarter have been updated.

Ken "Whit" Whitman's Failure with Knights of the Dinner Table: Live Action Series
3) Knights of the Dinner Table: Live Action Series was last updated on August 31, 2016. We don't even think that was a real update since the bloopers were not actually from Ken "Whit" Whitman, which would make the July 25th, 2016 "The Harassment Continues" as the last real update? No, we'd count the last real update as July 16, 2016. Doesn't matter because for the sake of this exercise we are going to count the last update as August 31, 2016. This means it has been 418 days since the backers of this Kickstarter have been updated.

Ken "Whit" Whitman's Failure with Pencil Dice
4) Pencil Dice was last updated July 17, 2016. So now it looks like there is a pattern of Ken "Whit" Whitman shotgunning Kickstarter updates, which...without actually reading the content of the updates makes us think they are just simple "I'm allegedly still working on the projects you paid me for". The fact that three of the four so far have been nothing but "new release dates" we think adds credence to our theory.

Nevertheless, it has been 464 days since the backers for this Kickstarter have been updated.

Ken "Whit" Whitman's Failure with RPG Pencil Dice
5) Just more of the same here.....nothing new.

Ken "Whit" Whitman's Failure with Spinward Traveller
6) Thank goodness, some variation here. Spinward Traveller was last updated on September 11, 2016. This means that it has been 407 days since the backers for this Kickstarter have been updated.

What does all this mean? Well, for one it means that Kickstarter backers for Ken "Whit" Whitman have not been updated on ANY progress for well over a year. Regardless of what Ken "Whit" Whitman says elsewhere on the internet, here....were it counts...he has been doing nothing. Zero documentation in over a year combined with zero results in over a year equals zero work having been done on these projects.

Let us not forget how many times Ken "Whit" Whitman has stated that KoDT:LAS has been "90% done" and/or "two weeks away" from completion. According to our quick math Ken "Whit" Whitman should have been able to complete KoDT:LAS 32 times over by now.

Looking at these numbers a different way, Ken "Whit" Whitman is 2,681 days late just updating his backers. That's over 7 years late (combined)! This is just on updates!

Ken "Whit" Whitman has had backers money for a combined 6,494 days (or 17 years, 9 months!):

  1. 1356 days for KoDT:LAS
  2. 1196 days for Spinward Traveller
  3. 1086 days for Castles & Crusades
  4. 968 days for Pencil Dice
  5. 958 days for RPG Pencil Dice
  6. 930 days for Deck Dice
When looking at these figures and dates it is pretty messed up to see that Ken "Whit" Whitman was allowed, by Kikcstarter, to have six (6!) Kickstarters "active" before fulfilling even one. Heck, his last two even overlapped funding periods!

These numbers just boggle the mind.....

2016.12.30 Are We Just Unlucky?

2016.12.30 Are We Just Unlucky?
While looking over an older post from September, we came across this nugget from our main man Ken "Whit" Whitman:

"With a little luck and tenacity, I play to have a finished product by the end of this year. Look for an announcement from FFE in the next few months."

This was in regards to adding an off-book $10 Kickstarter "Upgrade" for the Spinward Traveller KS. No clue who took Ken "Whit" Whitman up on the offer, but either he didn't get enough, or he just pocketed the cash as it appears he is wont to do.

Also, we still want to know if  Far Future Enterprises knows they had their name used in this call for cash back in September.

2016.10.08 Ken "Whit" Whitman at it Again on Facebook

2016.10.08 Ken "Whit" Whitman at it Again on Facebook
Funny how life can imitate art.....or is it the other way around?

This morning one of our readers tipped us off that Ken "Whit" Whitman was "mixing it up" with people on Jolly Blackburn's Facebook wall.

Knowing that in the past our main man has put stuff up on Facebook only temporarily, and that he does like to churn through FB accounts, we took a quick look while we could.

It looks like everything started with Ken "Whit" Whitman updating his cover picture, which immediately made us laugh since it was reminiscent of this intro picture we made months ago when we got word the Washington State Attorney General might be looking into the fraudulent Kickstarters.

Anyway, here is the Facebook stuff as we found it, with some appropriate quotes:

"This is Ken Whitman. He is 2 years late on his Kickstarter. Some people believe he should be behind bars for fraud. Ken current makes a living as an actor in Atlanta, were he commonly plays bad guys, This is a picture from his upcoming MacGiver TV show (ep 7). His IMDB is here ... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4452606. His stage name is Whit Whitman, who many conspiracy theorist believe he took on to hid from bad publicity--- even though his stage name has been Whit sense 1991. Once WHIT/KEN posted this picture, Jolly found humor in stoking the conspiracy flames by insinuating that Ken SHOULD be in jail."

"Im not holding the footage hostage. I don't need money to release them. They will be shipping out with Traveller by Aug 1st, 2017 or sooner."

"Sure extra money could speed up the process, but I am working my way out of this the old fashion way. BUT working and spending my own money. Its it talking a long time... yep! But there ya go!"

Now this writer's first thought is that "If you don't need more money to release the KoDT:LAS footage, how would extra money speed things up?" Of course this dovetails into some natural second and third questions...which just turn into a long series of questions that should be answered....

"Why would you ship the main product from one Kickstarter project with the main product from a second altogether different Kickstarter project?"

"What about all the other promised/funded items? Where are the KoDT 20 Years of Covers softcover books? What about the promised Elmore print? What about the party with the actors people paid for?"

Instead we just get Ken "Whit" Whitman kicking the proverbial can down the road. August 2017 will probably come and go without any substantial Kinckstarter fulfillment.

2016.09.02 A Twofer of Ken "Whit" Whitman Goodness

Thanks to a head's up from Tenkar's Tavern, we learned that Ken "Whit" Whitman is trying once again to fleece scam extract solicit funds from the pool of people that contributed to his Spinward Traveller Kickstarter.

Of course that project is coming up on two years late (December 2014 was the "estimated delivery" date), but Ken "Whit" Whitman has the end credits done.....kind of. For the low, low price of only $10 you can get your name added as a backer.

This is quite the bargain because during the actual fundraising campaign, you had to pledge at least $40 to get your name in the credits. 486 people pledged less than $40, so Ken "Whit" Whitman has a potential take of $4,860. Of course so much of the fundraising for this particular project was done off-books from the official Kickstarter campaign and this little attempt at an add-on is also off-book as Ken "Whit" Whitman is using a Square Store for this additional "funding" source.

We highly suspect that anybody who wants to send Ken "Whit" Whitman $10 can have their name added to the movie that may never see the light of day, no need to be part of the 486 allegedly-eligible backers from 2014....

Ken "Whit" Whitman Wants another $4860 for Spinward Traveller
"Hey Everyone,
First let me say that I am sorry it has taken so long to get Spinward Traveller off the ground, I am work with Far Future Enterprises to get this project into your hands as soon as possible.

As you know we have released the end credits with all the backers names that paid $40 or more, more than a few of you have asked if you can get your name in the credits.

So, for an additional $10 we would be happy to include you name, in the credits.

These additional money will be used to help me spend more time editing, and speeding up the edit process. With a little luck and tenacity, I play to have a finished product by the end of this year. Look for an announcement from FFE in the next few months.

Thank you for being understanding. You can log on to my new store at Whit Studios. (weblink removed, -Editor) The credit purchase in on the main page.

Thank you for your time,
Ken Whitman"

After the initial shock of a) Ken "Whit" Whitman asking for more money and b) Ken "Whit" Whitman screwing over the 107 backers who pledged at the "NAME CREDIT PACKAGE" specifically to get their name in the credits, our first real question was, "Does Far Future Enterprises know about this?" Of course this leads to more questions. What is their role? What do they stand to gain from this?

Who knows......we, don't!

Ken "Whit" Whitman "Back to Set" Workshops
On a slightly related front, Ken "Whit" Whitman is sharing his "expertise" at workshops for TDH Talent Unlimited. While it is great news, at least for him, that he is getting some work, we can't help but wonder where is his expertise stemming from? He wrote/acted in a season and a half of Brother's Barbarian and directed three Kickstarter projects that are unfulfilled. He's also done some one-off extra work. One could easily argue he's never really gone "back" to anything......at least not enough to be an expert.

If TDH Talent Unlimited is happy, and their clients/actors are happy, it probably doesn't matter......

2015.10.18 The Miniatures Page Post

2015.10.18 The Miniatures Page Post
Sorry folks, but this isn't new news here, just a documentation post.

While we were looking for something specific, we came across this forum post on The Miniatures Page: "In an interesting twist to the D20 Entertainment sales scandals, apparently Ken Whitman has sold a bunch of the Traveller Resin Spaceships to NobleKnightGames (after getting individuals to pay for these first, of course, and then allegedly not delivering the products to them), who are now selling them on eBay, at twice the price of what you used to be able to "purchase" them for directly from D20:

2015.10.18 The Miniatures Page Post
auction

Of course, as you may have read, D20 Entertainment has an inability to deliver them to customers, ever, in many cases.

People that purchased these, and that have been waiting more than a year for them, in some cases, have now been sold to a third party, who is now marketing them on eBay.

Wow, Ken has hit on a goldmine – selling things twice, for double the revenue, but only delivering them once!!!

Simply brilliant!!!

In my opinion, this guy is one of the worst, serial con-artists ever to be associated with Traveller, and Marc Miller.

It seems that he's allegedly been pulling stunts like this for up to 20 years.

Some people have even worked for him on designing/writing rules, etc., and he's stiffed them as well. One guy, allegedly twice, and then Ken had the gaul to go and ask the guy for assistance a third time, without ever paying him as promised for his first two efforts. The third time the writer asked about payment for his first two projects, and then Ken never bothered him again. Needless to say I guess, that allegedly, he never received any compensation from Ken for his efforts.

I've been waiting very patiently for my three-vessel, Traveller Spaceship set, that Ken listed as "now shipping" on his website, since mid-June. He also again mentioned on CotI that they were shipping in August as well.

Does Ken Whitman and D20 Entertainment have no shame?

I shall be filing my complaint with the Kentucky Attorney General's Office on Monday morning.

I'll also be contacting eBay and NobleKnight about this issue as well.

Spread the word.

Not another dime for Ken Whitman, or D20 Entertainment – tell all your friends, acquaintances, and foes:

notanotherdime.blogspot.com

dontfundkenwhitman.blogspot.com

Have I mentioned Ken's new direct sales "Sol Bound Traveller" funding project?

He's seeking funds for that too, which appears to me to be just a rehash of his failed Spinward Traveller TV Kickstarter (one of six Kickstarter projects that Ken has mismanaged in the last few years, but that has allegedly generated almost $180,000 USD in sales). It's being billed as a "web-series", instead of a TV show.

Don't fall for what in my personal opinion is just another of Ken's scams, which he's having to promote directly on D20, since allegedly they won't let him list any more with them, due to all his failures."

From what we recall, Noble Knight Games definitely took the high road on this one and managed to get in line with everyone else Ken "Whit" Whitman has screwed over.

We wanted to post this because the second auction was for 5 "limited edition" painted Beowulf resin ships. In an earlier post about Ken "Whit" Whitman's resin being sold at a different retailer, he claimed "Perhaps , all the unpainted resin models have shipped, and all the painted ones are defects or damaged?" The thing is there were 12 of the painted ships shown in the picture......12, as in 12% of the entire "limited edition" line. Add the 5 from the Noble Knight auctions, and we are at 17%. It is also important to note that the Noble Knight auctions ships were listed as "mint".

Now it is entirely possible that Ken "Whit" Whitman had 33 ships set aside for his webstore sales, which would mean we've accounted for 1/2 of the "limited edition" Beowulfs. Looking at the Spinward Treveller Kickstarter we can count another 27 for 77% of the "limited edition" ships.

If we get bored we might try to track down the last 23 ships.....

2016.04.17 A Transcript of Ken "Whit" Whitman's Apology Video, with Commentary

2016.04.17 A Transcript of Ken "Whit" Whitman's Apology Video, with Commentary
Two day ago we had a little "apology" and a bit of way-too-late damage control from Ken "Whit" Whitman, who used the Atlanta Actor's Co-Op to put up a video.

Now remember, this is the organization on Facebook that is "definitely not his" and is completely the wrong place to post any inquiry regarding his many failed Kickstarters, because it is NOT the place to do so as there is NO CONNECTION between Atlanta Actor's Co-Op and Ken "Whit" Whitman's Kickstarter scams.....

...well, we guess not until our hero posts a video connecting the dots. As usual, the video didn't last 24 hours before getting changed/deleted, as is often the course with Ken "Whit" Whitman on other social media platforms. As of the time of this post the video is still up, just not listed. The unlisted video, link is here, has only been viewed 975 times. On the surface this video is for the 1622 backers of KoDT:LAS and Spinward Traveller, but we suspect this video is actually directed at the entities currently seeking legal recourse for Ken "Whit" Whitman's fraudulent Kickstarters.

For the record, Ken "Whit" Whitman doesn't think he has committed fraud because he didn't "intend" to pocket the money he raised via Kickstarter. We don't have any lawyers on staff, but this doesn't even pass the common-sense sniff test.

This morning way too much time was spent watching, and re-watching the "apology" video for the purposes of providing a transcription. Obviously we have some commentary, but we'll simply denote key phrases like this (1) and use footnotes below. The transcript is useful, but you do miss a lot by watching Ken "Whit" Whitman's body language. Just seeing him shake his head "no" when he states he is still working on these projects, and with some of the "apology".*

"Hey everybody, this is Ken Whitman...uh...Jolly and Marc have asked me to take five minutes out of my time to make a little log to talk to you guys, and uh I just want to let you know that I am still working on Knights of the Dinner Table and I am still working on Traveller. Now the problems that I had, which some people could say I had many different problems, but I bit off way more than I can chew (1). Uh, you know I tried to make, you know everything at one-tenth of what a professional would, would uh charge to make these and so when we ran out of money (2), I had to get a day job...and now when I'm not working on my day job I'm trying to finish up Traveller and Knights of the Dinner Table. I'm about 90% done (3), and this will get done...and uh I could give you daily reports and weekly reports, but at this particular time I, I don't think you'll be satisfied with what you, what what I put down there for the week or the whatever. All I can tell you is I'm 90% done, and I'm still working on this stuff, and when it gets out, and it will get out, um, any of the profits that might come after I fulfill all the Kickstarters (4,5) will go to pay off debt that I've accumulated. Once again I apologize, uh you know this is turned out to be a Herculean task, and and uh I haven't given up yet so um my plan is to provide uh Marc with materials um you know hopefully during the summer time, and uh, you know, he's working with other people, including Kenzer and Jolly to, to help me get this out (6). So that's what I can tell you right now, and uh once again I apologize for taking so long and I apologize for, you know, not having done this correctly, but um, as I said it's it's not over until I give up and I'm not giving up so um expect to hear from me again. Thank you."

1) This isn't a case of just "biting off more than one can chew" because Ken "Whit" Whitman had multiple Kickstarter projects underway at the same time. If you look at the pattern to these projects you'll see the up-tick in frequency to the point where two projects even overlap with fundraising dates. This post has these projects mapped out. Don't forget he was planning on another KoDT Kickstarter well before wrapping this first one up.

2) No. It would not take $690,000 to make KoDT:LAS but it might have taken $490,000 to make Spinward Traveller depending on the amount of special effects. Ken "Whit" Whitman bought equipment that should have been rented, but he did claim to have actually rented said equipment. He also claimed to have spent "$15K" on making KoDT "audiobooks" that he never had permission to do. Ken "Whit" Whitman has also admitted to co-mingling funds from different projects. Add to this financial mess the fact that Ken "Whit" Whitman has received an untold amount for off-books sales of related items (some of which were clearly double-sold), well he doesn't have any room to talk about funding figures. Actually, if Ken "Whit" Whitman is going to claim that his projects ran out of money, then his backers, and Kickstarter as well as some Attorneys should be able to look at his books.

3) In July of 2015 Ken "Whit" Whitman claimed he was "two weeks away" from KoDT:LAS completion. He has claimed to be "two weeks away" and/or "90% done" on more than one occasion, and even on more than one project.

4) Part of the problem is that it is impossible for Ken "Whit" Whitman to fulfill all of the Kickstarters as, at least with KoDT:LAS, because it is too late to provide Production Diaries, throw the promised "Premiere Party", and he does not have rights to the promised artwork for the DVD packaging.

5) Ken "Whit" Whitman's rights to at least the KoDT:LAS intellectual property extend only to what he was doing with the Kickstarter. The only way he could profit further would be to sell IP and product that isn't his to sell, not that this has stopped him before.

6) The footage has already been shot and volunteers have offered to do the work of properly editing the footage for KoDT:LAS.....many months ago. Just last week the offer had been renewed on Facebook. Obviously there is a big difference between having completed footage and DVDs being made, but.....if Ken "Whit" Whitman was being serious about getting the project completed, why wouldn't he allow a professional help?

*Interesting there is no mention of the other four outstanding Kickstarter projects.......

2016.01.19 A Little Confirmation of the "Network Pitch"

2016.01.19 A Little Confirmation of the "Network Pitch"
Over the course of the last few months I've gotten all sorts of Ken "Whit" Whitman related rumors here at NAD.

Now I try to steer clear of unsubstantiated rumors, and when I mean "unsubstantiated", I don't mean things that I've been able to clear with some 1st hand accounts....if I put up everything that has been relayed in confidence, or has been sent without screenshots & the like....well, then this site wouldn't be trustworthy.

A Pitch to the Networks? There are a couple of stories that I just haven't been able to come up with some sort of appropriate backing on. One thing I'd been looking for more word on was Ken "Whit" Whitman's flagrant theft of IP in his attempt to keep the folks with the Traveller Kickstarter "on the hook" just a little bit longer. If you've read/written enough about Ken "Whit" Whitman's dubious Kickstarter claims like I have, you start to see a pattern. 1st comes some announcement that "real" results are "just around the corner". If backers can just hold on for a few more <insert false time-frame here>, 'Ol Kenny will come through. The time span comes and goes, Ken "Whit" Whitman places the blame for the delay onto someone else, often exaggerating the scope of the blame-game (as in something unrelated to the actual project is causing the delay), tossing up some shoddy "proof" that things are progressing before asking folks to "hold on" for <insert new BS time-frame here>, and there will be some results.

Rinse & Repeat ad nasuem.

I had heard that there was a Traveller Kickstarter Update on January 16th that included a "Pitch to the Networks", but said pitch was yanked hard by the people who Ken "Whit" Whitman stole the footage from. Now I cannot confirm the specific verbage of the KS update, but I did get a link to the footage. Yanked, not yanked.....I cannot confirm, but you can see the title of the update itself and the video below. The original, from what I've heard, was deleted from YouTube, so you'll have to download this yourself:
Pretty much all stolen footage...

https://ksr-video.imgix.net/assets/005/201/303/c578b77d5b0fcb16fa83404f5765e226_h264_high.mp4

For the record, this video is being linked for commentary and informative purposes ONLY. We do not condone the illegal usage of 20th Century Fox's IP, much less the butchering of a great TV Show and Movie. The "original" portions of this video, well at least the CGI work, was stolen (i.e. Not paid for), and I'm sure well get to hear from that artist soon enough.

A second "thing" I had heard regarding Ken "Whit" Whitman is regarding his attempt to go beyond his KoDT:LAS license and tape some sort of "audiobook" of KoDT material without permission. I'm still working on that one, but there is at least some level of confirmation from Ken "Whit" Whitman himself:
"I spent 15k on hiring employees and infastructure to do KODT audio books only for you to say no"

Now I doubt highly that Ken "Whit" Whitman had permission to do any sort of audio book, because if he did it'd be in his contract (not that he follows that anyway). I doubt I'll be able to get the D-Team to chime in here, but if you know one of the actors, please ask them to drop NAD a line.......

2015.11.18 Ken Whitman Screws Over Businesses as Easily as his Customers

2015.11.18 Ken Whitman Screws Over Businesses as Easily as his Customers
So about those items over at Noble Knight Games....

.....it appears that they've been screwed over just like everyone else has by "our boy" Ken Whitman, who has fled from Kentucky to Georgia and allegedly "changed" his name to Whit Whitman.

There is a HUGE thread over at the KenzerCo forums that were set up specifically to allow Ken Whitman to "be more responsive to backers and keep them updated", but....of course....Ken Whitman couldn't be bothered to actually take advantage of this above & beyond effort by KenzerCo to allow the then-failing Ken Whitman to "turn things around and move forward".

You can read through the many posts and what you'll find is a lot of frustration from the fans & backers and far too much apologizing from folks that are not Ken Whitman. Personally, I'd just skip ahead to page 22 (or so) to where the conversation goes to the interaction between Noble Knight Games and Ken Whitman. Since you can read what is a copy of a 1st hand account there, we'll just provide this one highlight:

"We've decided not to sell these after more information has been presented to us. Regardless, we are now out around $2500 with Whitman (including both ships and books) including $755 outstanding directly."

Noble Knight Games takes the high road after a Ken Whitman screw-job

So what you have here is basically a company that paid $2500 for product and was shorted $755 worth of said product. Because of Ken Whitman's general fuckery they've decided it was in their best interest to "write off" the investment of books and resin ships as "goodwill" instead of recouping what they can to cut their losses to the minimum of $755.

Seriously, how bad does your supplier have to be that you'd rather take it in the shorts to the tune of $2500? Think about how much extra product Noble Knight Games has to sell above & beyond their norm to make up that shortfall.

2015.11.09 Ken's been busy, now playing "Whit" Whitman, the Comedic Oaf actor?

It appears after an unusually long period of silence, (possibly while busy raising cash for his big move to Atlanta by marrying some folks in Kentucky after becoming a minister...), Ken Whitman's become very busy lately.

From erasing his Wikipedia entry, to moving to Atlanta, GA (which appears to be, in reality, Duluth, GA, according to various sources), to getting into some acting gigs, all in his new digs in around the Duluth/Atlanta area, Mr. Whitman's been pretty active, lately.

Pretty active in all ways except producing all the films & related outstanding products he collected cash for.
