Funny how life can imitate art.....or is it the other way around?
This morning one of our readers tipped us off that Ken "Whit" Whitman was "mixing it up" with people on Jolly Blackburn's Facebook wall.
Knowing that in the past our main man has put stuff up on Facebook only temporarily, and that he does like to churn through FB accounts, we took a quick look while we could.
It looks like everything started with Ken "Whit" Whitman updating his cover picture, which immediately made us laugh since it was reminiscent of this intro picture we made months ago when we got word the Washington State Attorney General might be looking into the fraudulent Kickstarters.
Anyway, here is the Facebook stuff as we found it, with some appropriate quotes:
"This is Ken Whitman. He is 2 years late on his Kickstarter. Some people believe he should be behind bars for fraud. Ken current makes a living as an actor in Atlanta, were he commonly plays bad guys, This is a picture from his upcoming MacGiver TV show (ep 7). His IMDB is here ... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4452606. His stage name is Whit Whitman, who many conspiracy theorist believe he took on to hid from bad publicity--- even though his stage name has been Whit sense 1991. Once WHIT/KEN posted this picture, Jolly found humor in stoking the conspiracy flames by insinuating that Ken SHOULD be in jail."
"Im not holding the footage hostage. I don't need money to release them. They will be shipping out with Traveller by Aug 1st, 2017 or sooner."
"Sure extra money could speed up the process, but I am working my way out of this the old fashion way. BUT working and spending my own money. Its it talking a long time... yep! But there ya go!"
Now this writer's first thought is that "If you don't need more money to release the KoDT:LAS footage, how would extra money speed things up?" Of course this dovetails into some natural second and third questions...which just turn into a long series of questions that should be answered....
"Why would you ship the main product from one Kickstarter project with the main product from a second altogether different Kickstarter project?"
"What about all the other promised/funded items? Where are the KoDT 20 Years of Covers softcover books? What about the promised Elmore print? What about the party with the actors people paid for?"
Instead we just get Ken "Whit" Whitman kicking the proverbial can down the road. August 2017 will probably come and go without any substantial Kinckstarter fulfillment.

ReplyDeleteI put up a blogger post and attributed this site. I'm assuming this will be deleted from the comments. Just thought I should give a heads up. I appreciate all the work that is done here.
