File this under "Slap my ass and call me Sally", but our main-man Kenny (er, Ken "Whit" Whitman) has not only agreed to do an online interview, but he's actually telling his Kickstarter "suckers", er "supporters" about it!

That's a LOT of can-kicking (down the road)......how many times have we heard about projects "at the printers", or "on the boat", or my favorite, "fulfilling now, just need addresses for the one or two of you that got missed...."

We tried starting a betting pool on if Kenny would show, how many projects he'll claim is still "in progress" and if the medical excuse(s) will come with some promise that the meds/treatment works and he's all better now and back on track. Unfortunately one of the spouses found it in bad taste and nixed the pool. I'm thinking she hasn't read this blog......

2017.09.02 Ken "Whit' Whitman Looks Like He's Found Honest Work

Looks like our main man Ken "Whit" Whitman has his own games & comic store. This probably isn't really news if you have been following Tenkar's Tavern's #ConManKen posts.

Now we do not recommend people going to the Little Monster Games & Comics' Facebook page or their Square Store to cause trouble. If Ken "Whit" Whitman wants to make an honest buck nobody should interfere in that endeavor.

Seriously.....this isn't one of those *wink* "don't do this" *wink* moments. Not that we expect Kenny to come through on any of his abberant Kickstarters, but if there is even a slimmer of chance for these projects it lied with Ken "Whit" Whitman making some honest money so he can repay what he's stolen from the budgets of these projects.

The comments/reviews for this shop are overwhelming positive, but appear to come from well before Kenny's involvement. Hopefully that trend (good reviews) will continue, but just based on the community's past experience with Ken "Whit" Whitman running an online store, I'd think thrice before placing an online order through the Square Store.

Hell....his Whit Studios Square Store is still in operation!

2016.04.15 Ken "Whit" Whitman Pops Up For a Little Song & Dance

Yeah.....so you know the pattern where Ken "Whit" Whitman pops up, says he's still working on his Kickstarters and we should be nice and give him more time?

Well, after going dark for so long he has popped up to do another D20 Entertainment PSA. According to the newest video he went overbudget, but he is still working on both KoDT:LAS and Traveller. We just need to be patient.

Still no word on if he even has the KoDT:LAS footage and not even the slightest peep regarding the Deck Dice and Pencil Dice (x2) fiascoes.

Once again Ken "Whit" Whitman dips back into the same old tired well of "I'm working hard, please be patient." Something tells me the potential heat from several State Attorney Generals after him for what has to be, I'm assuming, several felonies, is the real reason behind this video.

I'll give Ken "Whit" Whitman that he sounds sincere, but at this point I think he's eroded any good will he had and even if he is sincere it is too little, too late.

2016.04.16 Now Ken "Whit" Whitman has disabled watching this video outside of YouTube, which is no big whoop, since here is a link. We already have a copy we can post under the doctrine of Fair Use. In case Ken "Whit" Whitman thinks he can try to get all lawery on us, here is a snippet of the law, as explained by Cornell University Law School (emphasis is ours):

17 U.S. Code § 107 - Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use

Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. 2016.04.05 Ken "Whit" Whitman Tries to Rub his Acting Gig in his "Enemies" Faces

You know....maybe this is just me, but if you scam a couple of fan-based communities to the tune of $200K+, maybe, and again this might just be me....maybe you shouldn't trying to brag about paid work that isn't on your failed Kickstarter projects.

Does Ken "Whit" Whitman not understand that these various fandoms have a lot of overlap? I'd be willing to bet that a lot of the people he's ripped off, if not the majority, are HUGE The Walking Dead fans.

Here is Ken "Whit" Whitman's FB brag.....but first I'd like to point out that a "heavy" pick-axe (or mattock) head comes in at about 5 pounds and the handle is usually about 2 1/2 pounds. Holding one is, at best, akin to having to hold a gallon jug of water (which comes in at about 8 pounds).....oh, and it is spelled "Finale"...

Being on the Walking dead was awesome to say the least. I worked one day and two long 15 hr COLD nights. 32 Degrees! No matter what, you cant take away this experience. ‪#‎PickAxeSavior‬
I was the only person with a real weapon. That damn Pick Axe weight 35lb. and I carried it for 20 hours or so.
I got the honer of running the team out of the woods, and stood behind Sasha Williams, Andrew Lincoln, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz & Ross Marquand. I was like 5 feet away. But as a good background actor did not talk to them unless they talked to me. I was 5 feet from Sasha Williams, so naturally she came and talked to the 6'4" guy with an axe, because I looked damn scary and she wanted to know I was not really a psyco killer. LOL!
She let me hold her gun, and it weighed as much as she did. She also sprayed my face with spritzer (Fake sweat).
I think I chased them out of the woods some 12 times. I don't know, I lost count.
Interesting points...
Was fun watching the actors get ready for a shot. They would pump themselves up.
There was more curing then you say on the TV show, expect the DVD to drop some F-BOMBS!
Chandler Riggs was quit, but could be because it was 3AM! He also has a female body double who walks just like him, it took me 6 hrs on night number 2 to figure that out!
Jeffrey Dean Morgan was amazing! Every time he gave his speech, I was like... Damn, thats was mesmerizing. He, of corse, cursed a lot, which got edited.
All the extras during the shooting made the set creepy! Damn we were creepy!
I am 2 inches taller than Michael Cudlitz, and 50 lbs heavier!
I stood next to a heater and Jeffrey Dean Morgan was next to me, then I figured out I was in the wrong tent. I never said a word to him and snuck out!
In one scene they had 5 cameras going, each point in a director between the other cameras. Damn that was cool and impressive!
The Lot we filmed the SAVIOR SCENE at the end was where the Church in Season 5 was built!
They had a square light, on a crane in the air. It must have been 20'x20' And 8 stories up. It lit most of the area!
There is a guy who walks down the roads and tosses out leaves! Where do they get them in the spring?
There is a guy who walks around with a smoke machine. Making the place eerie!
There were so many SAVIORS that they ran out of weapons, so some people got Meat Tenderizers, a plastic knife, a fake metal pipe, I thought they were gonna tell a few... go find a stick. I took the Pick Axe no one wanted it cause it was 35lb. Lucky me!
I am 6'4" and 280lb. I was average size! There was two dudes there that were like 7'2". I however was the only bald white dude.
I meet at least 4 guys on set I text or talk to daily!
We were all told they would keep us on a list for CALL BACKS when the show starts back up in May! Here is hoping! I love you WD Family, Friend, Crew, Writers, AMC!!!
We had no clue to who was gonna die, and still don't! Jeffrey Dean Morgan would end the "stink" on a different character each time!
The CREW was awesome to us.
Andrew Lincoln listen to an iPod between scenes, it helped him get ready!
When the actors came out of the van, they asked some of us to really be rough with them!!! So they were! And that's why it looked real.

I have to especially love the ending touch of "To my enemies... ha ha, I was on the walking dead!" Seriously? Odds are Ken "Whit" Whitman has scammed somebody that is friends or family of somebody having to do with the production of The Walking Dead.

2016.03.10 Ken "Whit" Whitman's New "Production Company"

Evidently Mr. Ken "Whit" Whitman has used his KODT:LAS-funded equipment towards forming another "production company".

Now these videos were highlighted a bit ago, and we got word about trying to start an "Atlanta Actor's Co-Op". Well, the name got changed....something that Ken "Whit" Whitman does once in a while and it is now called Atlanta Actors Marketing.

A quick search of the Georgia Secretary of State doesn't show Ken Whitman, Whit Whitman, or any current legal business entity with the word "Actor" in it. Pretty much the standard we're used to seeing.

The pictures and links are just re-hashes from Ken "Whit" Whitman, so nothing new to see.....unless you count the address listed right on the page...well, pages.

If any process servers manage to read this page, there are the convenient business hours listed....really?

From the page: "We shoot in 1080p with prime lenses and a boom microphone overhead. Simply put, we shoot quality. Video Auditions and Monologues are $15 per 1/2 hour. Bring a thumb drive and leave with your audition in hand!"

Now it wouldn't be fair for me to pontificate on Ken "Whit" Whitman's idea of "quality", but since he's using the equipment used to shoot the KODT:LAS, maybe we could look at that video as an example?

2016.02.24 Is Ken "Whit" Whitman a Victim of a Huge Misunderstanding?

Obviously this blog, no matter the original intentions, is clearly biased against Mr. Ken "Whit" Whitman. We've stated time and time again to please don't assume any single blog post is actually factual......

.....let that sink in....

We here at Not Another Dime (For Ken Whitman), or NAD want you to start out at the same level of thinking that seems to plague our raison d'etre. That level is somewhere along the lines of "Why are people picking on me? I haven't done anything wrong!"

Today we got a comment from Jolly Blackburn, of Knights of the Dinner Table fame:
"My email exchanges with Ken have been interesting to say the least. According to him he's the victim in all this and it's all a huge misunderstanding and people are being unfair to him."

Oh to be a fly on that wall....

My initial reaction was to wander over to the "Ken Sez" page and see what the man himself has said to backers, the media, and the interwebs in general. Sometimes the truth is far stranger than fiction.

If Ken "Whit" Whitman's words, and the links to where he said them, aren't enough to veer you away from Ken's own mindset, then maybe you should go over to the various Kickstarter Comments and see if any of his backers have been rewarded appropriately for their support of his projects.  You know, the Kickstarter Projects that grossed Ken "Whit" Whitman $186,239! Let's not forget all the add-on sales of resin ships, books, T-Shirts, etc. These add-ons were done without any oversight and nobody knows how many of these products were sold, but we have learned that some where actually double-sold. We also shouldn't forget that there are other Kickstarters that Ken "Whit" Whitman has had his hands in the cookie jar....

Try to find one of the softcover versions of the KODT: 20 Years of Covers book, or the KoDT: LAS Poster...heck even the KODT:LAS DVD. You would be much more likely to win the Powerball when you didn't buy a ticket!

Please, feel free to poke around a bit and look at everything (that you can) for yourself. 2016.02.18 Some Good News on the Legal Front

I can only hope that is some small way this blog can be a resource for the Washington State Attorney General's office. Why it takes Washington State to get some traction on Ken "Whit" Whitman's Kickstarter Scams and not Kentucky is beyond me.

2016.02.17 Trying to Wrap My Head Around Some KODT:LAS Numbers

I've been trying to get my head wrapped around some of the financial aspects of the KODT:LAS as they pertain to some of the information that Ken "Whit" Whitman and Jolly Blackburn has put out over the last year or so.

This might bounce around a bit, but feel free to follow along....

OK, the KODT:LAS Kickstarter funded for $69,525. IIRC KS fees take 10% off the top so Ken "Whit" Whitman's take for the campaign is $62,572.50. On August 7th, 2015 Ken "Whit" Whitman threw up a list of "expenses". Now most of them are BS because most of the "product" is a no-show, but let us assume that the expenses listed for filming ($30,100) were legit. That leaves $32,472.50 in Kenny's pocket towards fulfillment...which largely went unfilled, but not the point of this post (for now).

"Jolly, you make 50k a year. That's twice as much as I make a year. This year I had a chance to earn 40k this year, but I put 20k extra into KODT to make it look awesome - which it does."

Also on August 7th, 2015 Ken "Whit" Whitman claims to have "invested" an additional $20K of his $40K of possible income from 2014 back into the KODT:LAS project. This "investment" left him only earning $25K for that year. The simple fact that $40,000 - $20,000 = $20,000 and not $25,000 is beyond the scope of this post. Since we don't know if this "extra" $20K is Ken's cut from the $32,472.50, we'll give the man the benefit of the doubt and add it in so we have a new total of $47,472.50.

Now the rest of the expenses Ken listed, even though we know they are BS, comes to an even $19,000.00, giving us a new amount of $28,472.50.

"So, I don't want anyone to believe that they did not get their money for this wonderful project.

Now according to Jolly, Ken "Whit" Whitman concocted a plan to "raise money" halfway through the KODT:LAS by essentially taping the actors doing some KoDT "Live Readings" to make an audio book. Kenny claims to have spent $15,000 on this failed venture. Scratching off that money we still have $13,472.50 free and clear....well not so free since this would have Kenny losing $6527.50 of his "additional" $20K investment in the project.

"And in answer to the matter of the KODT audio books. NO - Ken never had permission. It was something he wanted to do midway through KODTLAS to 'raise money' for the project."

See this is where I try to understand things here. If Ken "Whit" Whitman clearly didn't need to raise any additional funds midway through the KODT:LAS project. By the number given he was $8,472.50 ahead of the game....and this number should have been much higher since we know he did a lot of product selling off-book, and speaking of books.....his expenses were far below what he had stated.

Since we're only going with the given numbers here....he is still ahead $8,472.50 up until this new effort at an un-authorized KoDT Audio Book. Personally I don't understand why you'd go in the hole $6,527.50 for an un-approved project. This just doesn't make sense.

The numbers, if taken verbatim, add up, but the need for an additional personal investment and/or an additional funding project don't...unless the original numbers given were false and/or Ken "Whit" Whitman was just greedy*. According to Ken "Whit" Whitman's latest projects, we know he has camera equipment that was purchased, not rented. We also know that the KoDT:LAS "backer items" were barely fulfilled, if at all. We also know that Ken "Whit" Whitman either lied about the car he bought or fraudulently "borrowed" a new car for the shoot.


*I'm personally inclined to think both as they are not mutually exclusive, but that is just an opinion.

2016.01.04 Ken Whitman Starts Off the New Year by Doing Nothing on Kickstarter

Not-Another-Dime has been slow as of late, largely because there hasn't been a lot of new information "out there". I went ahead and checked the usual spots and noticed a couple of things of interest:

1st is the fact that our hero Ken Whitman managed to login to his Kickstarter Account today......and I cannot find any evidence of an update on any of his projects.

Makes me wonder what Ken Whitman, or Whit Whitman, or whatever it is he is trying to call himself these days...has been doing. Producing products that he sold years ago is definitely not the answer. There still hasn't been a sighting of the softcover KoDT

Last login today! (January 4th)

20 Years of Covers book out in "the wild". No sign of the KoDT DVDs or pretty much anything having to do with Pencil Dice, Spinward Traveller, or Deck Dice. The Castle & Crusades folks have basically stepped in to take care of those screwed backers on some level.

Nothing new to report on the Kickstarter front.....

....but there was an interesting tidbit in one of the KoDT: LAS comments.....

Jolly Blackburn, of Kenzer & Company fame (i.e. the man who created the Knights of the Dinner Table that Ken Whitman raped for a $70K+ payday) commented that Yep - this dude is gone gone GONE. Not a peep. Doesn't even have the decency to bring backers up to date. Hope he had fun at his new year;s eve party in Duluth.

Duluth? Now I've heard of this place before and it took me a bit to remember why*. Ken, or Whit, Whitman did a brief stint in Atlanta, allegedly working in the film industry, and stated publicly that he was "headed for Vegas". My sources tell me that was just a lame feint and that he really moved to Duluth, GA. Duluth is practically a suburb of Atlanta...well it is less than 30 miles away, so close enough.

I'm willing to be that Ken Whitman's "move" to Atlanta was really to Duluth, but why Duluth? Usually when folks move out of state they try to find a place close to friends or family.....and then that is what clicked for me. Ken Whitman's buddy Ed Kramer lives in Duluth, or at least does according to his Wikipedia page. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Ed Kramer should still be on house arrest in Duluth, GA.

Of course this may be total coincidence and every reader of this blog should question everything.....


*I have a great source telling me that Ken Whitman is in Duluth, or at least was as of early November, but I won't reveal said source unless I really had to.

2015.11.29 What the F.....

I couldn't make this up if I tried.....

Ken Whitman has brought back the d20Entertainment website just so he could shill for more money. At least he is being honest for once that if you give him money this time you'll get "nothing"......

.....and I love the misinformation that "most proceeds" will go towards, well anything. I'm sorry, but if the man can't provide backers with a $16.92 book they paid $100 for, how is giving him $5, $10, $50, or even $100 more going to make it happen?

If you have to actually think about that question, the answer is "it won't".

2015.11.09 Ken's been busy, now playing "Whit" Whitman, the Comedic Oaf actor?

It appears after an unusually long period of silence, (possibly while busy raising cash for his big move to Atlanta by marrying some folks in Kentucky after becoming a minister...), Ken Whitman's become very busy lately.

From erasing his Wikipedia entry, to moving to Atlanta, GA (which appears to be, in reality, Duluth, GA, according to various sources), to getting into some acting gigs, all in his new digs in around the Duluth/Atlanta area, Mr. Whitman's been pretty active, lately.

Pretty active in all ways except producing all the films & related outstanding products he collected cash for.
