A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose

Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character.

Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.

Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.

Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.

Note to contributors: If you have some valid data to send, screenshots, links to other Ken Whitman stories, etc., please feel free to send a gmail to notanotherdimeblog. We'll look into it and post if appropriate.

2016.02.24 Is Ken "Whit" Whitman a Victim of a Huge Misunderstanding?

Wishful Thinking
Obviously this blog, no matter the original intentions, is clearly biased against Mr. Ken "Whit" Whitman. We've stated time and time again to please don't assume any single blog post is actually factual......

.....let that sink in....

We here at Not Another Dime (For Ken Whitman), or NAD want you to start out at the same level of thinking that seems to plague our raison d'etre. That level is somewhere along the lines of "Why are people picking on me? I haven't done anything wrong!"

Today we got a comment from Jolly Blackburn, of Knights of the Dinner Table fame:
"My email exchanges with Ken have been interesting to say the least. According to him he's the victim in all this and it's all a huge misunderstanding and people are being unfair to him."

Comment Regarding Ken "Whit "Whitman

Oh to be a fly on that wall....

Ken 'Whit" Whitman's Own Words
My initial reaction was to wander over to the "Ken Sez" page and see what the man himself has said to backers, the media, and the interwebs in general. Sometimes the truth is far stranger than fiction.

Worthwhile Readings Regarding Ken "Whit" Whitman
If Ken "Whit" Whitman's words, and the links to where he said them, aren't enough to veer you away from Ken's own mindset, then maybe you should go over to the various Kickstarter Comments and see if any of his backers have been rewarded appropriately for their support of his projects.  You know, the Kickstarter Projects that grossed Ken "Whit" Whitman $186,239! Let's not forget all the add-on sales of resin ships, books, T-Shirts, etc. These add-ons were done without any oversight and nobody knows how many of these products were sold, but we have learned that some where actually double-sold. We also shouldn't forget that there are other Kickstarters that Ken "Whit" Whitman has had his hands in the cookie jar....

Try to find one of the softcover versions of the KODT: 20 Years of Covers book, or the KoDT: LAS Poster...heck even the KODT:LAS DVD. You would be much more likely to win the Powerball when you didn't buy a ticket!

Please, feel free to poke around a bit and look at everything (that you can) for yourself. If you can honestly come to the conclusion that "he's the victim in all this and it's all a huge misunderstanding", feel free to drop us a line using the contact form on the right, or even send a comment. Outside of posts/emails from Ken "Whit" Whitman, we'll be more than glad to give you a forum for setting the record straight....just be advised it'll be on the same footing as all posts here on NAD.

  1. I am joking that we will still get some fun out of these affairs by joining in an exciting live-action roleplaying game called LAGGARDS AND [Class-Action] LAWSUITS.

  2. A Ken Whitman Simulator!

For which excuse Kenny's uses, roll 1d10 or pick one:

    1 - "Fraud requires intent"

    2 - "CIVIL, not CRIMINAL"

3 - "Jolly has it out for me"

    4 - "I need a hard drive"

5 - "Yes, I know I did wrong, but I cant tell the backers anything I'm doing to actually fulfill my Kickstarters because reasons."

6 - "I spent so much of my own money on the Kickstarters"

7 - "I don't have to update the Kickstarter backers. Anyone can call me and ask."

    8 - "You're a p*$$y for asking me about the Kickstarters"

    9 - Roll again twice.

    0 - All of them

    Kenny usually rolls a 0.

I may have missed a couple, but I think that covers the most used ones.
