Tenkar's Tavern picked up the same notion that Ken "Whit" Whitman is involved in the
One thing that the Tavern remarked on were some words shared by someone that inquired, through Kickstarter, about Ken Whitman's involvement in this project. The thing is, this response by Robert Costner tries to diminish Ken Whitman's involvement in the project, but we'd like to ask since when does someone who is just "merely part of the creative team along with several dozen other talented contractors" warrant 3% of a "teaser trailer" to display their fictional company name, albeit at maybe a 85% font size to the Producer's company? Were any other of the "several dozen" contractors named?
Nope?
Well Tenkar's Tavern got permission to forward the response they referenced so we could record it for posterity. We tend to agree it has a bit of an "eff off" vibe, but read it as you may. We don't have the initial inquiry, so there could be an aspect we are unaware of....to be fair.
"Thank you for reaching out to me. Our company has contracts with many independent companies, actors, and crew members, and we do run background checks on all of our contractors. Mr. Whitman has no legal or criminal activities on his record. During past meetings, he seems very respectful to all that attend. I do know of his past Kickstarter failures and assure you that Mr. Whitman is not involved with our company's business practices and is merely part of the creative team along with several dozen other talented contractors. Once again, thank you for your concern, and have a wonderful day."
Here's another couple pages for auditions for this project (the text is the same as in your May 9th post) from a local acting jobs board, both of which have Ken's name attached to them. https://callboard.com/audition/fantasy-tv-pilot-unmortal-2/ https://callboard.com/audition/unmortal-tv-pilot-staring-former-wwe-star-al-snow/
