Now the smart question would be, "What is this potential fuckery you speak of?" To answer this question I would highly suggest you start at the beginning of this documentation blog, back when we were jaded and relatively unbiased, and start going through the posts. By the times you circle back around to today's post I would ask you to answer this simple yes or no question:
"Would you feel comfortable allowing Kenneth Whitman, AKA Ken Whitman, AKA Whit Whitman, to operate a non-profit organization working with "young adults" and soliciting donations?"
Now while this is phrased as a simple yes/no question, the expected response is probably more along the lines, of "What now?"
So we recently reported about Ken "Whit" Whitman's new company "Little Monster Entertainment, LLC". So this is probably on us, but we didn't actually check on Kenny's name with the Kentucky Secretary of State. If we had we would have found "Community Film Collaborative, Inc"....and that company is a non-profit. For the record he also has a new Dumpster Rental company....but that probably isn't relevant unless he rents the non-profit for expensive dumpster rentals....
So, according to the Community Film Collaborative, Inc website....which is really just a Square (sales collection) website. They do have a Facebook page though. On the site they list three "short films" that this non-profit "partnered" with Little Monster Entertainment. This three are listed as "The Proposal", "Meet the Girlfriend", and "Lucrative Relationship".
So, on the surface...seems kind of legit. Ol Kenny is helping "young adults" make some short clips, in this case about 6 minutes total. Nice, right?
Now if you look at the actual YouTube pages for those clips, you might notice that they are allegedly clips from three larger "in progress" short films: "Strange Places", "Gamerz Inn", and "Places & Power", respectively. Thing is that these films aren't listed on IMDB, on the Little Monster website, or so far anywhere else. Now remember Ken "Whit" Whitman has literally raised money for non-existent (well, at least non-published) films before. His current for-profit LLC's website is taking money from wannabe actors and he has a side business that's a non-profit helping create wannabe actors?
Oh yeah....the "non-profit" website only exists on a ecommerce site?! Nothing fishy there!
If you look at the Little Monster website, specifically the page promoting their "short films that help actors secure managers, agents and higher paying acting jobs across the world." .....you know, services they make money off of.....you'll find this picture from an alleged non-profit shoot.
Clearly this is from "The Proposal"....or was it "Strange Places"....
This whole thing doesn't feel right, pretty much on the surface, but when you factor in Kenny's past.....sounds like spin and, at best, an attempt to look legit. Better than fair chance this is an attempt to grow future customers or bury costs from one company in another.....that's our guess/opinion and we're stating that now.
Do you remember our post from July? We're thinking his work then was in anticipation to this current set of companies....
