A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose

Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character. (Editor's Note: After years of this documentation, we simply cannot be anything BUT "con" when it comes to Mr. Whitman)

Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.

Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.

Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.

Note to contributors: If you have some valid data to send, screenshots, links to other Ken Whitman stories, etc., please feel free to send a gmail to notanotherdimeblog. We'll look into it and post if appropriate.

Ken "Whit" Whitman's Promises After the Interview

Ken "Whit" Whitman's Promises After the Interview
Wow...just wow. The interview was...interesting I'm sure we'll provided unwarranted commentary, but we're going to do our best to just provide the facts. Hopefully we can either get a transcription of some important bits from the interview and post them here for posterity.

In the meantime:

Of course the first think Ken did after the interview was post another update to his Kickstarters where he couldn't leave well enough alone and did a pitch for his most "recent" project Unnatural......which of course has NOTHING to do with the Kickstarter projects he isn't working on.

"Dear Kickstarter Backers,

I want to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize for the unfulfilled promises from my d20 Entertainment Kickstarter campaigns (2013-2015). I understand that my failures to deliver have caused frustration, disappointment, and a breach of trust. You believed in these projects enough to support them financially, and I failed to honor that commitment.

While I know words alone cannot make up for the past, I want you to know that I have not forgotten my obligations. I am currently developing concrete plans to address these unfulfilled projects. Rather than make new promises without substance, I am taking the time to create realistic, achievable goals for fulfillment.

As a gesture of goodwill while I finalize these plans, I would like to share my latest film project with you. "Unnatural" follows a gunslinger on a mission from God who must track down supernatural creatures as penance for his past sins. You can view it at: https://vimeo.com/1024616167?share=copy Password: ########*

This is not meant as a replacement for your rewards, but rather as bonus content to show that I am actively creating new work and haven't abandoned my creative commitments.

Moving Forward:

  • I am cataloging all outstanding obligations from each Kickstarter
  • Developing practical fulfillment plans for each project
  • Will reach out with specific details once plans are finalized
  • I will provide a more detailed update by the end of the year with concrete plans and timelines.

Thank you for your continued patience. I understand that actions speak louder than words, and I am committed to making this right.

Sincerely, Ken Whitman"

We're just going to leave this here.....

*2024.11.11 Edit: We almost immediately got a message from Kenny asking that we removed the password for this offered video and one of our editors did so immediately, which is kind of dumb on our part since Whit(less) literally made this password freely available to anyone who bothers to look at one of the...what?......6 Kickstarters updates he made. They aren't locked down for backers only, so feel free (while availability lasts) to check it out:
