Right off, we don't have any intention of allowing Ken "Whit" Whitman to use Not Another Dime (for Ken Whitman) as a medium to reach out to the many people who feel victimized by the man. In the past we didn't even moderate comments, but that proved problematic, so now everything is moderated.
In general though, any commentary Kenny had against us was fair game....to a point, and we think the points have been made.
What some readers of NAD might not know is that for the past couple years now we have heard, from multiple sources, that Ken "Whit' Whitman likes to:
- Use multiple social media accounts for all the reasons you'd expect someone to use multiple accounts for (including some of the points mentioned next)
- Claim he is being "picked on" online
- Assert his many delayed/abandoned projects are being worked on and will be fulfilled...eventually
- Claim multiple violations of assorted ambiguous laws, which have been reported to the authorities (usually the FBI)
Thanks to our earlier two posts we've been able to allow our readers to see a small sliver of Ken "Whit" Whitman's online activities 1st-hand. We don't really plan on making these permitted comments a regular thing, but if we get any particularly good examples we may again make an exception.
Documenting Ken "Whit" Whitman's weird and wacky behavior is kind of our purpose....if we keep one person from experiencing the belief they've been ripped off by Ken "Whit' Whitman by giving a good & true accounting (we really do try to document appropriately!) of past behavior, a commonly accepted approximation of future behavior, then the work is worthwhile.
His using multiple social media accounts is very similar to the string of game companies he created to bilk money from people.
ReplyDeleteYup. He has been many companies, many people (IRL aliases), and now many social media accounts. I've kept pretty close tabs on him since he screwed over several people who I respect back in his Rapid POD days. I saw that whole debacle and decided that I never wanted to run afoul of his brand of business (I use that last word loosely). Unfortunately, his changing names and legal business identities regularly is something that enabled him to continue bilking money out of people, as it makes running down his past dealings somewhat difficult if you weren't there to see the shit hit the fan firsthand. That's why sites like this and Tenkar's Tavern are so important - they hold Ken (and others like him) accountable in a very visible way. Hopefully this saves people from running afoul of his scams.
