Even trying to simply look up social media posts from Ken "Whit" Whitman is problematic because Ken likes to use a "turn & burn" policy. He will create a new profile, either to reach a new audience or to try and lose some of his old ones. A lot of emails we get here at Not Another Dime (for Ken Whitman) are about how he's unfriended someone the moment they ask about one of his Kickstarter projects....and not even, "Where's my stuff?" type questions.
Yesterday we had one of our bloggers trying to look into Ken "Whit" Whitman's Facebook accounts and two different accounts popped up. Today there are three....
Heck, just looking at these accounts shows some interesting info....like how Ken "Whit" Whitman has himself listed as the Convention Manager for TSR, Inc. Not as a past job, but a current one....
We here at NAD aren't big on fake accounts, or even using one of our personal accounts to try and access Ken "Whit" Whitman's personal FB posts, usually because we don't want to mix blogging and personal life, but also because we usually prefer to post links that anyone on the internet can follow back to their source. We will, however, use information sent to us using the contact link here on this page, a comment to a blog post (since they are moderated we can delete them) or a regular email at:
Today we were sent this little tid-bit:
Typical Ken "Whit" Whitman.....shilling for donations on a personal project. "My graduation gift to my daughter is filming a feature film for her to enter into the Sundance film festival. Its a silly lillte movie called GIRL DOWNTOWN. We are doing it for fun, but we will always do it at 100% of our abilities......
If you would like to Sponsor GIRL DOWNTOWN for $20, you will recieve a free DVD & Your name in the credits under Sponsor. Should Ship January 31st, 2017.
Pleas Let me know if you would like one and I will send out a invoice you can pay online. We will leave the TIP button on incase you want to add a little more."
It is hard for us to ascertain what Ken "Whit" Whitman means by "100% of our abilities" since he hasn't finished any of his Kickstarter projects even though they some are allegedly at 90% completion. Since nobody has ever seen a Ken "Whit' Whitman DVD, or a successful delivery date, would you really want to contribute to Ken "Whit" Whitman's graduation present to his daughter?
If you really wanted to give Alexandra Whitman a graduation gift, you'd be better off just sending her the $20 via her mother.....
It would be better if Kenny put 100% of his abilities into the projects that he's already been paid for.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed that someone actually donated $5 to that campaign... and that's Jolly Blackburn, who left a nice if somewhat sarcastic comment. :)
