A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose

Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character. (Editor's Note: After years of this documentation, we simply cannot be anything BUT "con" when it comes to Mr. Whitman)

Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.

Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.

Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.

2016.01.25 Kind of an Update, but not Really
After Jolly's "open letter" from last week, I thought it might be a good idea to check in and see if there has been any action from our esteemed Mr. Ken "Whit" Whitman.....

....and of course there hasn't been.

I'd find it hard to believe that Ken "Whit" Whitman hasn't seen the post, since it was emailed and posted both to Tenkar's Tavern, the KoDT: LAS Kickstarter, and also here on Not Another Dime (For Ken Whitman).

Something tells me Ken Whitman is the kind of guy to Google himself everyday, but not bright enough to simply set up a Google Alert.....

Anyway, on to the non-update from Jolly:
"For those who have been curious. No respond from Ken. Nada. Zip. Silence. I had hoped he could at least confirm the raw footage still exists but I'm sad to say I think the missing parts might be forever lost. If I'm wrong I would love for Mr. Whitman to prove it and produce it.

 I will keep you updated if there is any news but again, I think Ken's pretty much washed his hands of this project completely. We're going on to six months without any substantial update. And even then, the last update wasn't exactly truthful."

Ken Whitman Still a No-Show

Too bad......Once again Ken Whitman has had a chance to recover some shred of dignity and "work" to set some things right for some of his supporters. Yes, many people paid a LOT of money for rewards and perks that were never fulfilled (even the "premiere" was woefully inadequate as far as the Kickstarter promises went, at least according to participants), but at its core a bunch of fans wanted to be able to watch a decent KoDT Live Action movie/series. Withholding the footage simply goes against the very core of the Kickstarter to begin with.
