A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose

Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character. (Editor's Note: After years of this documentation, we simply cannot be anything BUT "con" when it comes to Mr. Whitman)

Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.

Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.

Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.

Note to contributors: If you have some valid data to send, screenshots, links to other Ken Whitman stories, etc., please feel free to send a gmail to notanotherdimeblog. We'll look into it and post if appropriate.

2016.02.04 Ken "Whit" Whitman Using KoDT:LAS-Funded Equipment to Do Anything BUT Work on his Kickstarters

2016.02.04 Ken "Whit" Whitman Using KoDT:LAS-Funded Equipment to Do Anything BUT Work on his Kickstarters
Today I got a forwarded message regarding Ken "Whit" Whitman not being in Las Vegas like we already knew he wasn't, but in the Atlanta area looking to fleece a new audience.

Well....to be fair "fleece" might be too strong of a word. What Ken "Whit" Whitman might be doing now could very well be a good deal for some, but regardless of that matter he is doing this with ill-gotten gains.

You see, Ken "Whit" Whitman is trying to get Atlanta area actors to give him money to film "demo reels" using equipment funded by the KoDT: LAS Kickstarter. Equipment that was supposed to have been rented, not bought, and equipment that Ken "Whit" Whitman has alleged he either didn't have or already sold.

Taking Actors for one General Grant at a Time
"Atlanta Actor Co-op is a new organization dedicated to producing quality reels, headshot, and audition tapes for up and coming actors. With over 50 members (cost is free to join), we have created over 9 demo reels in the last two weeks. We charge $50 per actor (minimum 2 actors) and create reals 2 minutes or less. We meet weekly at 6pm on Tuesday night.

Below is a recent reel we created for actors Starring Thomas Downing & Whit Whitman (strong language). If you are interested in a demo, or would like to join the AAC for free, please send me a personal message and I will add you to our secret group here on Facebook!"

Hmmm...poor spelling and grammar, shameless self promotion...sure sounds like Ken "Whit" Whitman. The whitless wonder is in half of the "Atlanta Actor Co-Op" videos and his acting is....well you be the judge.

You know, it almost seems like Ken "Whit" Whitman is profiting some off of these videos and using them to promote his own acting dreams. Of course, that is just one person's opinion.

Just makes a person, or at least this person, wonder that if Ken "Whit" Whitman has time to film and edit these shorts (around 12 minutes of footage), why couldn't he do the same for any of his video-based Kickstarters?

  1. Is he trying to use the name of this dissolved non-profit for his gain? http://www.georgiacorporates.com/corp/823690.html
    Intentional or coincidental?

  2. It seems a bit exploitative, doing this to these young artists. I feel for them because they probably don't who "Whit" really is.

  3. Anyone know anybody in the Atlanta acting community that could put out the word about Kenny?

  4. Could you persuade area newspapers to run a feature linking his "services" to actors with his past frauds against gamers?
