We got a ping today that maybe Whit Whitman, or in this case definitely Ken Whitman, was ramping up his attempts to make money off of AI or off of his loose association with TSR because he had some legal problems.
While we were given a name and a case number, that's not nearly as much to go on as you might think. A quick search of the name lead to a 1970's film, pretty much a dead end, and possibly another dead end in a SAG AFTRA notice: Do Not Work Notice – Good Luck, Miss Wyckoff, dated 2024.03.29 (I used our style of dating things)
Please be advised that Wyckoff Film Company LLC, the producer of the project entitled Good Luck, Miss Wyckoff is in default of the Producer–SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic Agreement of 2014, as amended by the 2017 Memorandum of Agreement, 2020 Memorandum of Agreement, and the 2023 Memorandum of Agreement.
As such, SAG-AFTRA members are hereby instructed to withhold any acting services or performance of any covered work for this production until further notice from the union. Please note, accepting employment or rendering services on Good Luck, Miss Wyckoff may be considered a violation of Global Rule One. Violating this order may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the SAG-AFTRA Constitution.
Of course this doesn't tell us too much, but clearly there's some level of fuckery involved if the union doesn't want it's members working on a project!
Well, Wyckoff Film Company LLC is listed with the Kentucky Secretary of State, currently inactive, but in good standing. It was established in 2017 in Boyle County.
You know who else lives in Boyle County? Yep, our main man Whit Whitman. This makes things a heckuva lot easier. Instead of having to guess which of the nation's 3,244 counties that might have the court filing that matches our tip, assuming it even is in a county court, we can focus a bit more heavily on Kenny's local court. Only when we started did we find out that there is a database for all of Kentucky's courts.....
......and we found it.
Now here is where things get interesting. The SAG notice is dated 2024, and these filings are also dated 2024. We notice that both Ken Whitman and Little Monster Entertainment LLC are listed as defendants. More than once Kenny's "companies" haven't really been a legal thing. Sure, he'll start the company, but let it administratively dissolve. This time around, at least for the entirely of 2024, Little Monster Entertainment LLC was a legal entity in Kentucky.
Astute readers might remember that Kenny also formed Little Monsters Entertainment Inc. on 2024.12.08, which we reported the next month. Note the only name difference between the two companies is the addition of the plurality of "monster", and Inc vs LLC. I recall at the time our assumption was that he formed this new company trying to capitalize on a typo from a news report about his movie release "Homeless for the Holidays".
Now, looking at this lawsuit our supposition is that Ken Whitman is trying to evade some accountability/repercussions/liabilities for this lawsuit by shuttering Little Monster Entertainment LLC. Ken dissolved Little Monster Entertainment on 2025.01.23. Ken Whitman also claimed that the company had "no assets and no future income"
No assets or income?
We just check both littlemonstersentertainment.com and littlemonsterentertainment.com, and guess which one is a single holding page that just links back to itself and which one is a functioning site showing upcoming movies, lists sponsors, and still advertises the Acting workshops?
Let's just say the dissolved company is still operating and the "active" company is doing jack squat. Oh, and technically we're wrong....both companies are dissolved, there is no "active" company.
