A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose

Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character. (Editor's Note: After years of this documentation, we simply cannot be anything BUT "con" when it comes to Mr. Whitman)

Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.

Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.

Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.

Note to contributors: If you have some valid data to send, screenshots, links to other Ken Whitman stories, etc., please feel free to send a gmail to notanotherdimeblog. We'll look into it and post if appropriate.

When Do We Get to Call Bullshit? We're Calling Bullshit

When Do We Get to Call Bullshit? We're Calling Bullshit
It has been three weeks now since Ken "Whit" Whitman reached out to us to bitch and moan about our "negative" coverage and how we don't cover when he does the bare minimum:

"It seems you only like to post the negative.   Pencil Dice are starting to ship and not a peep about it...."

Yeah, well if he's been shipping pencils that means he's fulfilling his Kickstarter Backers, albeit six (6!) years late.

Hmm........according to the USPS, the slowest mail rate they have is 2-8 days, so since it has been 22 days since he reached out, we should have found some......SOME....trace of 'ol Kenny filling out his obligations, right?

Outlook Not So Good

Right?

Yeah, come on....unless this is your first visit to Not Another Dime (For Ken Whitman), you should already know the answer.....NOPE!

From the Pencil Dice Comments (Going back 22 days, mind you, and emphasis is ours):

2021.09.26 EDIT: It has now been 30! days and these comments shown below are STILL the most current....

Pencil Dice Comments for the Last 22 Days

From the RPG Pencil Dice Comments (Going back 22 days, mind you, and there is nothing to emphasize):

RPG Pencil Dice Comments for the Last 22 Days

Now to be fair, not shown in the Pencil Dice comments since I only went back 22 days, there is one other comment about a backer getting their pencils. Both of these people.....BOTH...were referenced in our post 21 days ago.

So in three weeks we have not had a SINGLE Kickstarter backer report that they've received their Kickstarter pencils from "d20 Entertainment" or Ken "Whit" Whitman. Now we wouldn't expect every backer to post that they got their pencils, but 6 years late you'd logically expect someone....ANYONE to post their surprise pencil package mailing.....

....yeah, we're calling bullshit.
