A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose

Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character. (Editor's Note: After years of this documentation, we simply cannot be anything BUT "con" when it comes to Mr. Whitman)

Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.

Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.

Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.

So Ken "Whit" Whitman does pretty much screw over everybody...

After the debacle that is his FB tirade with somebody it seems he suspects is somebody else, we learn of yet another person left in his wake. Presumably another ex-wife....

One of the blog comments, possibly one I had to remove at the author's request (possible pending litigation, IIRC) was from someone who Ken "Whit" Whitman scammed into doing some art for his Traveller KS. A small partial payment was made.....from Kristin's paypal/credit card. This secondary account of Ken "Whit" Whitman using Kristin and/or Kristin's money meshes with her 1st-hand account:

    My complete sympathies go out to Ms Pelletier. I know how it feels to have to pick up the pieces of a relationship with a toxic person. It is unfair and should never have to be done.

    I hope she gets some solace from the fact the Ken is not part of her life anymore. I hope the best for her.

    Ms. Pelletier acted in the Spinward Traveller video. But did she ever get PAID? Ken seems to promise payments to people but instead EXTRACTS net money from people!

    I cannot assume that there was any type of personal relationship, but it is a good bet that there was a business relationship. If she, or any of the other actors involved in the pilot, agreed to a co-production agreement where they would split profits afterwards in lieu of upfront compensation, then they may be on the hook for any bad debts associated with that production.

    It is documented that KP was in a relationship with Kenny during the filming of the Traveler series. She, in fact, went online and defended him against his KS backers on more than one occasion, referring to them as "trolls" and "piranhas". She went on Kenny's KS-backed cruise too. So...there's that.
