Ethos
Ethos, from the Greek for "character," refers to the guiding beliefs of a community or the persuasive appeal to an audience's sense of credibility, trustworthiness, and ethics by a speaker or writer. It's a rhetorical mode, alongside logos (logic) and pathos (emotion), that establishes the speaker's authority, character, and shared values to make their argument more convincing. Ethos can also describe a culture's fundamental spirit or the core principles of a group or individual.
In Rhetoric (Persuasion)
Definition: An appeal to the speaker's credibility, character, or authority to persuade an audience.
How it works: A speaker builds ethos by appearing knowledgeable, honest, and having good intentions, making listeners more likely to trust them.
Example: A doctor recommending a treatment leverages their expertise (ethos) to convince a patient, similar to a company using customer testimonials.
In Culture & Society
Definition: The distinctive spirit, character, or fundamental beliefs that guide a culture, nation, group, or era.
How it works: It's the shared moral and ethical framework influencing customs and attitudes.
Example: The "American ethos" of freedom and opportunity, or a company's core ethos of customer-centricity.
Key Aspects of Ethos (Credibility)
Competence: Demonstrating knowledge and skill.
Character: Showing integrity and good intentions.
Caring: Showing concern for the audience's well-being.
Now an astute reader might be asking themselves, "Why is there an AI Generated definition/explanation of the word 'Ethos'?" and "Why are certain words emphasized?"
Ok, first of all.....duh....this has to do something with Ken "Whit" Whitman, so the real question should be, "Oh, for #&^@'$ sake, what has he done now?!"
Looks like Kenny is trying to re-brand yet again, this time to the AI world. Bringing us AI generated music wasn't enough, now he is some cyber-entrepreneur:
AI Ethos Architect? Anything even closely related to the word "ethics" ("ethos" is derived from the root of ethics) should not be used as an adjective in conjunction to Ken "Whit" Whitman's name.....like ever. Please do not take my word for it, browse the assorted posts here at Not Another Dime....So poking around under the hood a bit and it seems like 'Ol Kenny is trying to glide a bit under the radar on this PieoSync business, at least on Facebook and the "business" website. This website is yet another half-baked enterprise online, not unlike the Community Film Collaborative website we posted about two years ago (it hasn't improved much, if at all).
Of course, PieoSync is another LLC, but Kenny didn't put his name on it.....
....but......that address seems familiar.
Oh look, Google has some contributions to share!
Looks like Ken Whitman, or Whit Whitman since he's tried to put his KickScammer days behind him, has used this address at least a couple of times before.
Also, while he's tried to keep some Facebook separation between him and this latest enterprise, he never can help himself with his promotional efforts. Look, his one Facebook page follows one of his other Facebook pages:
I think he really cannot help himself. Something a little more hard & fast would be helpful though, since we like to provide you with links here, like this tidbit from LinkedIn:
Between (not) fulfilling his many Kickstarter Backers and (not) putting out all those films, how does Whit Whitman have time to (not) become and expert in AI?
