Evidently Mr. Ken "Whit" Whitman has used his KODT:LAS-funded equipment towards forming another "production company".
Now these videos were highlighted a bit ago, and we got word about trying to start an "Atlanta Actor's Co-Op". Well, the name got changed....something that Ken "Whit" Whitman does once in a while and it is now called Atlanta Actors Marketing.
A quick search of the Georgia Secretary of State doesn't show Ken Whitman, Whit Whitman, or any current legal business entity with the word "Actor" in it. Pretty much the standard we're used to seeing.
The pictures and links are just re-hashes from Ken "Whit" Whitman, so nothing new to see.....unless you count the address listed right on the page...well, pages.
If any process servers manage to read this page, there are the convenient business hours listed....really?
From the page: "We shoot in 1080p with prime lenses and a boom microphone overhead. Simply put, we shoot quality. Video Auditions and Monologues are $15 per 1/2 hour. Bring a thumb drive and leave with your audition in hand!"
Now it wouldn't be fair for me to pontificate on Ken "Whit" Whitman's idea of "quality", but since he's using the equipment used to shoot the KODT:LAS, maybe we could look at that video as an example?
Nice use of the word "pontificate".
ReplyDeleteAlso the logo for AAM reminds me of a shark fin... Seems appropriate...
shark
SHärk/
nouninformal
noun: shark; plural noun: sharks
1.
a person who unscrupulously exploits or swindles others.
"Coleby was a shark, not the sort of man to pay more when he could pay less"
How is it that he claims that he can produce an audition reel in one night and has not finished KODT or Traveller or C & C after several years and even "free" equipment from well-meaning supporters? I would not waste a thumb drive on this guy or his promise of an audition/demo reel.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Kenny is trying to keep his name out of this one as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteA search at register.com shows that the domain atlantaactingmanagement.com was registered with the same address as shown on the AAM Facebook page. It was registered on Fed 11, 2016 under Kenny's girlfriends name.
Probably because Kenny is a broke-ass punk and registering domains usually require a credit card.
Still no record of this being a real, licensed business in the state of GA.
It appears his ex-girlfriend is now having to go to bankruptcy court. There was a little bit of an article about her over on Tenkar's Tavern. He apparently racked up her crdit card debt OR perhaps took out a card in her name.
ReplyDeleteNo word on the Kickstarters by the way. He's most certainly moved on.
Looks like the Facebook page is closed or private now.
ReplyDeleteAnd, true to form, looks like Kenny pulled the Facebook page for this venture too.
