2018.04.24 Ken "Whit" Whitman Kicking the Can Down the Road

2018.04.24 Ken "Whit" Whitman Kicking the Can Down the Road
Casual readers here might not notice that Ken "Whit" Whitman tends to state, rather frequently, that he's working on his Kickstarter Projects, but we never see any actual proof of such activity.

The reason for this, or at least the only reason we can comprehend for such activity, is that, for the most part, by stating that he's still "working" on these projects Ken "Whit" Whitman isn't in default/has abandoned his obligations.....he's just several years late/behind.

Ken "Whit" Whitman didn't blow through his Kickstarter money on a cara cruise, or on other Kickstarters (than the one the money was pledged to), he just ran out of money. He ran out of money on the Pencil Dice....not sure how because nothing was ever manufactured even though he claimed it would "only" cost "about" $10K to produce & ship....even though he took in a combined total of $46,784 for the two Pencil Dice Kickstarters ($38, 161 for the 1st Campaign and $8,623 on the 2nd Campaign).

Where'd the money go Kenny? Where did it go?

Of course these are just two of the 6+ Kickstarters Ken "Whit" Whitman has been involved with that have......issues.

BUT, if he's still "working" on them he can kick that can of obligation down the road and just say he's late, not fraudulent. Of course he also says he's not fraudulent because he didn't intend to take peoples money.

We don't get it.....if you get $46,784...well probably need to round that down to $40,000 to account for Kickstarter's cut and some pledged that didn't actually get charged to Patrons (who now are lucky SOB's...right?) and all you needed to do, by your own accounting, was peel 1/4 of those funds off to manufacturing the product......

......anyway, today Ken "Whit" Whitman said he's quitting Facebook and taking some time to work on his Kickstarter Projects. We already know he has more than one Facebook account, so which one Kenny? Just the one, or maybe this one as well? Then there is this page as well. Heck, we don't even see the profile this post came from!

Ken "Whit" Whitman Deactivating at Least ONE of his Facebook Accounts

"TONIGHT at Midnight Deactivating my account for a bit. Taking time to finish up my Kickstarters and a few other creative venues. If you have any last words, now is the time to PM me!"

Nope, we think Kenny is just trying to make it look like he's doing something on his Kickstarters. If he was actually able to finish one of his many outstanding projects, surely he would have posted an actual update on Kickstarter....and yes, we checked. Nope.....we think Ken "Whit" Whitman is just trying to disappear for a bit....maybe to avoid his responding to his one summons or to avoid any more coming down the legal pipeline.

AND to kick that proverbial Kickstarter can down the road a spell.....

  1. By definition, he CAN'T finish the KODT:LAS project, can he? The license expired. There is nothing further he can legally do, other than offer refunds.

Right? Or am I missing something?
