A Brief Introduction to this Page's Purpose

Not Another Dime! is dedicated to documenting the assorted, and sometimes wild, details of Mr. Ken Whitman's business dealings within the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry. This place is NOT intended to be a medium of discussion about Mr. Whitman, pro or con, but instead be a "jumping off" point to enable the reader to make their own informed decision about Mr. Whitman's history and business character. (Editor's Note: After years of this documentation, we simply cannot be anything BUT "con" when it comes to Mr. Whitman)

Whenever possible, links to the original source material will be provided, but in many cases that information may have been deleted or secured behind restricted-access (like a private Facebook page) accounts.

Anything posted here is the opinion of the retrospective author and any content shown is to be considered "fair use" and posted for educational purposes only.

Note to authors: Please begin each post with the original date of the event being documented in the format of YYYY.MM.DD (i.e. If the event being recorded happened on March 15th, 2015 and today's date was August 8th, 2018 the beginning of the post's title would be 2015.03.15 and not 2018.08.08) so readers can use the Chronology page to find specific information. Please use appropriate tags when possible for the same reason.

Note to contributors: If you have some valid data to send, screenshots, links to other Ken Whitman stories, etc., please feel free to send a gmail to notanotherdimeblog. We'll look into it and post if appropriate.

2015.12.07 A Word About the Comments.....

2015.12.07 A Word About the Comments.....
As some of you may have noticed, we've had a comment or two from our raison d'etre....Ken Whitman.

The comments here are moderated (ie. approved) before going up and Ken Whitman's comments were allowed, which in hindsight was a dumb thing to do. Ken Whitman has plenty of avenues to address his supporters, detractors, and Kickstarter backers and it was...unwise...to allow his post here.

Unfortunately before this poster was able to come to his senses he approved those comments and then people started replying.....the potential abuse just is too much.....so the comments Ken Whitman made in response to some comments were simply deleted, as had any comments calling out to Ken Whitman directly.

Anything that was posted before I came to my senses has been left, but going forward.....all of these from and to Ken Whitman directly will be deleted as a matter of course.

  1. I think that is sound policy. All Ken was doing was rubbing salt in the wounds of people he'd already scammed and getting those same people wound up to no good end.

    1. I do not agree that it was a mistake to allow him to post.
I believe Mr. Whitman was providing a personal demonstration of the callous disregard he has for all those involved in these Kickstarter projects. A window peering into his psyche, so everyone can see and experience the depths of contempt he has for everyone, including himself.

    2. I don't feel a need to understand or experience "Ken's" psyche, but I do think he was using this outlet as a way to escape his responsibility to the Kickstarter threads. Really, he needs to be attentive to that locale first. Maybe we can chat after he keeps his word on other things. Good idea to block him.

    3. Keeping his word is unfortunately not within Ken's psyche.

  2. Yeah I thought blocking his BS might be a good idea also, although being as dumb as he is, I half way expected an admission of guilt from him for not paying me for the CGI work I did...but no matter, I have all the evidence I need. Thanks again for running this great blog!

  3. Ken's own worst enemy is his own mouth (or fingers at a keyboard). He has no filter. He's so intent on lashing out at his victims that he will say or post about anything. Just take a hard look at the RPGnet links where he mixed it up toe to toe with the very people he ripped off. Classy.

Guy is trying to hide and self promote at the same time. It's amusing to watch. Tells me he sold all the equipment backers paid for and then turns around and sends out a list of equipment he has and soliciting production work the same day confirming he still has the equipment and is monetizing it. Stupid evil.

I think it's only fair he sells the equipment to pay for the CGI work for Traveller and burn/ship the DVDs for both KODTLAS and Traveller. Oh and if there's money left over maybe pay is former AD and the composer for KODTLAS who was also stiffed.

  4. I don't know. It would be nice to have somewhere that he leaves comments where he can't just delete them and pretend it never happened later.

  5. "Whit Whitman" is still publicizing his Spinward Traveller Kickstarter.

He changed his cover photo on Facebook to a Spinward Traveller graphic - one that he's probably not paid for.

Kenny is using this as an example of his successful work while looking for new acting gigs. All Whitman is doing now is draggin the IP through the mud.

Isn't there anything that Marc Miller can do about this? He's been much too quiet about the damage Kenny is doing to his IP.

    1. Well the movie is supposed to debut New Year's Eve as I recall. Hasn't been an update in ten weeks - so maybe he's going to surprise everyone.

    2. I believe that date is as solid as all the other dates Kenny has given us.

  6. I was wondering why he was posting here. Much less why they were allowed in.

  7. Sometimes he says really hurtful things to people who trusted him with their business ( and KS support). For me, I don't want to read that stuff every time I turn the computer on. I trusted him, too and it was my mistake.

  8. You need to continue updating.

If you stop updating, then your blog starts to drop in the Google rankings when people search for "Ken Whitman" or "Whit Whitman," and that makes it easier for him to disappear only to pop up again in six months or a year or ten and do this ALL OVER AGAIN with people who don't know the story or who can't find it with ten seconds of googling.
